I got my concrete poured yesterday. It was just setting up good when the rain started so we were able to cover it up. This morning, it was still a little soft on top and the tarp made a few marks in it so I broomed it off and gave it just a little texture. I think it will be ok. Now I can start pounding nails.
I'm tired. I wheelbarrowed 2-3/4 yards of concrete from the street to the back property line which really wore me out physically. Then, I woke up at 4:00am with a headache and never did get back to sleep.
I am so overwhelmed today. I'm trying to catch up from not being here yesterday, and of course everyone wants their stuff done first. While I just want to try out all the stuff I learned.
We were supposed to go camping this weekend, but I don't know if that will pan out. We're supposed to get bad storms this afternoon and into the evening, and although they're supposed to taper off before night, it's not easy to set up a tent during a storm. So, we'll see how the weather goes.
Morning all! It's a gorgeous day here in my little town. Please keep your T&P for those in our area who were flooded. Vast majority of victims were not in a flood plain and did not have insurance. Some are total losses.
Morning all. It is another nice, comfortable Friday. I thought about taking the day off but came into the office anyway. Oh well, I guess I should have stayed home. But I have a viewing tonight and a bunch of us from work are going together. So it is actually easier to leave from here with everyone else.
Had I known that it is going to rain tomorrow, I would have mowed the lawn last night after I arrived home. Oh well, Sunday is supposed to be sunny and cool. As long as the lawn is dry, I'll mow then.
Work on.

Good Morning everyone, a quick hello before the storm of calls hits!
Oh, yeah . . . the market drop yesterday will make you a busy guy. I heard on the news that they are maybe thinking it may have been caused by one person keying in a transaction wrong and entering a billion where he meant to enter a million. That big transaction may have been what started a chain reaction of decline.
Looks like we might have some kind of weather comming our way too; it's overcast & windy.
Web, glad you got your concrete poured; take it easy today and use a nail gun. Mz, hope the weather is kind so you can go camping. JR & Dylan, have a nice visit grillin' & chillin'. TG, prayers for everyone affected by the flooding. Fuzzy, tomorrow is Sleep In Day! YAY! Sparky, put all calls on hold... Mema, when you check in, hope you have a good day!
Smiles Everyone! Smiles!

I do believe I will require a budget and team to help with further research, but on the information I was able to gather alone here is my report on the trees.
Quickly recapping my observations, within the confines of our business, there are four mature Bradford pear trees; two very mature cottonwood trees; and two young Redbud trees. All trees have blossomed and have taken on their leaves.
The Bradford pear trees are spaced just so, so that hammocks can easily be placed between them to provde excellent napping conditions under sufficient shade and a nice south breeze in the summer.
The Redbud trees, although beautiful in bloom, are still not mature enough to even nap under and the foilage is not sufficient to provide adequate shade; they are quite beautiful to admire.
The cottonwood trees are very old and what I consider excellent for climbing and setting up a platform for a tree house -- if I were 10. These trees provide abundant shade beheath and i consider them a prime spot for spreading out a blanket for a picnic and and afternoon siesta.
As I previously mentioned, a budget and a team would allow further research to examine other possible uses for these magnificient perennials, , i.e., picnics, meetings, yoga, which I believe would increase office productivity immensely.

Good day, all! Finally checking in. Its been an interesting morning here at Camp Unhappy. I guess the soon-to-be-displaced folks are causing problems. Its going to be a long couple of months.
Otherwise, its been an okay kind of day. We had a "good luck in your new job" lunch for one of the guys. Apparently there are a few more of those coming in the next couple of weeks.
Cloudy and colder here today... presently 59* and moderately windy. Probably gonna rain soon.
Web... glad you got your concrete done in time. Good luck with the plywood.
Mz... enjoy the camping if you go.
JR & Dylan... have fun with the chillin' & grillin'. By the way, guess who has tickets to the Green Bay at Chiefs pre-season game?
Sparky... DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE!
DS... excellent work on the tree report. Can't wait to see the video of Web's magic plywood ride. Fuzzy... sorry about the services. Never fun... try to enjoy the weekend.

I like the idea of a hammock. I'll see what I can do about the budget and a team. Will you be willing to lead this team? I'll need a supervisor and a team leader.

I would be honored to be the team leader. I don't like to micromanage, therefore, the team members must be self motivated, problem solvers, as well as able to give and take constructive criticism and work as a team when required.
Let's get the party... Um, research started!

Can I apply to be on DS's team? I can offer the unique perspective of an Indiana climate, and I'm experienced in hammock use. I also have advanced picnic skills, including wine selection. I can also add tai chi to the list of things that can be done under trees.
