When it comes down to me to start a day's thread...holy cats are we in trouble.
Its about 45* with a steady rain here.
DS, you folks had some rough weather again, hope all is well.
Tennessee Gal, hope the flooding has dissipated and the clean up goes well. These type of things tend to bring out the best in most and I know it will be no different in your neck of the woods.
It is my Friday. I worked the Administrative Segregation Unit all week (The Bad Boys of the bad boys.) The Sheriff made me earn my money this week.
Hope everyone has a good Thursday.
We now resume our normal broadcast already in progress.
My boss came in early (on time) this morning, so my morning has been hopping. In addition, my throat is hurting again, so I'm dragging a bit too. I'll have some more playtime this afternoon.
Morning All. I like to jump in every morning to see how you all are doing. Figured I may as well start it off this morning. Busy day at work, beautiful outside, and kids are getting antsy for school to be out.
We're planning our first trip as a family the first week of June. Knocking out the New England States: VT, NH, ME, MA, CT, & RI. Hopefully we will all come back speaking. 9 days in one car can be tough on any family, much less a newly blended one!!
I've emailed Darlene and Lady Strange to see if they would like to meet up with my bunch one night. We're catching a Red Sox game that Tuesday night if tix are available. Thought that might get Darlene's attention, then I've asked LS if there are any music stores or festivals that we MUST see while we are in the area.
This thread is stamped the oldest, so I'll post here.
I'm tired. I had a server issue that started about 5:00pm last night. The spam filter was crashing every 10 minutes. I updated every possible thing I could think of, tried everything I could do. FINALLY (midnight), I noticed a common factor in the crashes, fixed that, and watched it run for another hour with no problems.
After two days of rain, the sun is out and we're warming back up . . . 60 today and almost 70 tomorrow. Maybe I can get some work done on the new shed this weekend.
Hi all! This week I'm testing the beta version of the new Xbox 360 Halo game that's due to be released in the Fall, and so far, I've got nothing but good things to say about it. I've been having a total blast playing online with other Halo enthusiasts!! I have to sign in under my daughter's gamertag to play though because you need the gold membership, which I don't have. However, beginning tomorrow they are opening the beta to all silver memberships so I'll be able to play under my own account for the next few days. I can't wait for the release of this game; it's gonna be FUN!!!
It's been raining here every other day and it's on the cool side too; temps are lucky to reach the mid 40s. I'll be so glad when it finally warms up and stays warm. I'm tired of paying the dang heat bill!!
Good day, all. I'm finally getting around to checking in. It has been a busy WFH day! At one point I had 7 different people from the office trying to talk to me at the same time about different subjects. That used to be normal, but I'm out of practice.
Anyhoo... survived last night's round of severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings unscathed. Apparently there was some severe damage about 10 miles south of me. One of the ladies I work with IM'd me about that since she wasn't entirely sure how close I was to the affected area. I took a look around outside and all seems to be in order around my neighborhood. The weather outlook for the weekend calls for temps in the 50's and thunderstorms, so about like it is today. Presently 52* and very cloudy.
Update from my friend Guz... I posted a few days ago about his dad suffering a head injury. Emile is out of the hospital and doing well. His motor functions are intact and he seems to have full cognitive ability as well. The only ill effect apparent at this point is that his speech has been affected. He is having trouble pronouncing some words. I'm tremendously relieved that he is doing well.
Hope everyone is having a good day.

I'm suffering grill withdrawals this week. The propane ran out last Friday and I still haven't replaced it. I'm scrounging around the house looking for something edible that doesn't have to be grilled, all I came up with was a coupon for a take-n-bake pizza from Papa Murphy's.
Taco Grande Pizza IT IS!!!!
Last night I tried listening to Pandora while I worked. It was the first time I listened for a considerable amount of time while I worked. I have to say, it was pretty good. I entered a favorite artist to get started (Huey) and in two hours it played three songs from him and every other song they played was one I liked, not a single miss.
Well, I'm off to do some web surfing, I hope every ones having a great day! Catch ya later!
