I was wondering if anyone purchased a new grill in the few years. My grill is five years old parts of it are now long gone. I have a propane grill. The burner is shot and there are flames everywhere, which is not a good thing. My two grates are starting to peel and need replacing also. Then there is the warming rack that needs to be replaced. Instead of replacing all these pieces (which will cost at least $175) I was seriously thinking about purchasing a new grill. I was thinking about an upgrade and getting something that will be protected and last longer (maybe stainless steel). The current grill was a birthday gift from mom five years ago.
I have been kicking around the idea of maybe going to a charcoal grill. I have seen a grill that has a charcoal side as well as a propane side. That may work well because I can use propane on the week nights when I don't have the time to wait for the charcoal to heat up. I am generally ready to eat when I arrive home. Then I can slow cook or smoke something on the weekends.
Okay, after all ot that, I am looking for sugessetions for a new grill. Anyone that bought a new one recently, what were some of your top choices? Even if you have a grill that is years old but in great shape, then I want to know the manufacturer. That is an important piece of the puzzle. I'll even take a suggestion for a website that has models and customer reviews available.
