I am sort of torn. I looked at a bunch of the threads on the live365 site today. There are a ton, but a lot have months between the back and forth! Some of the top threads had postings last done in February!! I can't tell if thats because internet radio is still relatively new, not enough people know about live365, or if its such a clique over there that only a few threads are really active?? I don't know what to make of it.

But you are right star, it is nice our postings got read, and will be read! Hopefully we have a bunch of new listeners and a few more friends joining us in OUR forum.

I think the problem with that Live365 site is that it's mostly broadcasters talking to each other.

That's why they all wind up getting "EDITORS PICK" designations, because I KNOW one of the editors is a broadcaster and is in the forums a lot. So he/she is picking their buddies to get the pick.

It's ridiculous. Every month it's the same stations that have the pick designation, and half of them are crappy little pre-programmed stations with no listeners and a playlist of like 200 songs.

What a load of crap.

Some day when we're loaded we're going without Live365.

They USED to be direct competition against Freeze Frame Radio back when this was JUST an 80's station! LOOK AT HOW FAR WE'VE COME!!!!!!

& that goes along with the democracy of the station! Y'ALL choose its direction!!

exactly cp- about a year ago riggs & I were "WHO are the listeners??" We got the answer with the forum. And it is so great to have met & get to know you all!!! We know who is here sharing the groove!! We are in GOOD COMPANY!!

     They are shooting themselves in the foot and I believe I can prove it .- instead of making enemies with ffr (and others ? ) they should  be  working  with them , swap ideas , see who's doing what n when  and is it working , even give others a plug now and then .  This  is based on my experience running a tire shop, my "motto ' was if I can't help you lets see who can , It drove the owner nuts  LOL .  what he found out in short order was that  the phone worked both ways , a lot of thankyous from people who would come back BEFORE they went anywhere else with a tire issue , an awful lot of refferals were comeing in to .  just seems like common sense to me ,  the deck is already stacked against anything small , but a pair twos will beat an ace high . 

The moral of the story is top notch though Dave. I particularly liked how you tied it into poker. A bit obsessed with the ol' game aren't ya?
