What a day! I decided to swap my work from home day this week to today so I can help Jeremy finish up on the trim for the house. There is not that much more to do to get what we have been working on thus far completed on the outside. Just need to put up the trim, the storm door, and do a bunch of caulking.
Unfortunately today started out with a wicked thunderstorm and there is still a 50% chance of thunderstorms all day today. It is sunny right now so I'm hoping we can get it done before that kicks up again.

The first baseball game of the season got rained out before it even started. The boy was bummed, but we didn't mind staying home.
I'm working on billing again today. I GOTTA get better at keeping on top of some of this stuff. I keep up on the tech end of things, but I let the paperwork stuff get behind.

Typical small business owner.

I was just saying. Many small business owners are occupied with actually running the business they put off paperwork and then they get bogged down in it. This is also how many owners get themselves into trouble.

Sheeh! Today is really only Wednesday? I have no idea where all the paper came from that's in my in-box. Oh, yeah... last of month/first of month transition...
We have officially adopted a stray cat at our home. He's been hanging around about 2 months now, and LittleBear doesn't seem to mind his presence. He can't come in the house, but I did buy him a bag of cat food so he doesn't have to eat dog food -- what's the difference to a stray, right? So, I told Isaac that he should name him, and after much thought he came up with FUZZY CHINA aka MAX.

Web, I think you've been behind on paperwork since the day I met you.
Mema, you're a lucky duck. We NEVER seem to get any good storms up here anymore. Just the stupid heat & humidity. They keep predicting big storms, then tell us they're going just south. They keep promising the humidity is going to break, then it get's worse (like five days straight now).
I have no doubt about the storms. But only two months more? I would have figured at least 4 were worse. Mid May through mid September have to be the toughest times. Generally June through August are bad for us. Sometimes we have those spells in May or September though.

Well, I can only talk about the six months I was there of course. But as for heat & humidity it was bearable until late June, but I'd say late June through late August were horrible. It really is true what they say, it's not so much the heat, as it is the humidity.
I was soaked the other day. And I wasn't even doing anything. The humidity was so bad Monday. Then it poured from about 2:45-3pm with a little more rain through 3:15. The humidity got worse after that.

Wisconsin is just no fun at all.
I've been revelling in the humidity as well. I do get a break every now and again with the storms, but those sure don't last long. Yesterday we had hail. Today just a horrible thunderstorm. It was cool most of the morning, but now its 77* and getting back to muggy.
Muggy wouldn't be so bad if I could turn on the A/C here at the house, but I still have too many gaps to seal up in the new stuff we installed. I did get some caulking done today and some expansion foaming in the basement the other day. Need to finish that up.

Ew. It is that humid and you don't have the air on. That's tough.
Yeah, us lowly night shift workers don't need things like heat in the winter or air conditioning in the summer.
But we're a Catholic college where everyone is equal and no one is more important than anyone else. Well, 'cept when it comes to saving some ca$h.
I understand that it's foolish to air condition a building for two people. But it drives me insane thinking about how they run the air so the girls sitting at the desk answering a phone don't have to be uncomfortable but the guys actually doing PHYSICAL work they don't give a crap about.
It should be interesting to learn what the air conditioning policy will be at my office. It seemed like the heat was on for only part of the day during the winter. There were a couple periods during the day where it would get really cold. I'm wondering if this will reverse itself for the summer?
