I thought maybe to keep you guys on your toes and impress your friends with yoru knowledge of music I thought maybe I could post a new trivia question to see if anyone gets it.


The PRize?  my admiration.


 


Here is this weeks question. Females have been well represented on the Billboard Hot 100 for years. However only 4 females have had # 1 hits for 10 weeks or longer. Dinah Shore had a 10 week stay at #1 with Buttons and Bows back in 48 but Billboard was not around yet. name the 4 women who have had #1 hits for 10 weeks or longer and if possible their #1 hits.


Hint they were in each decade ( 70s,80s,and 2 in the 90s.)

One of them has to be Debbie Boone and her You light up my life, and one has to be Whitney Houston--the remake of the Dolly Parton song.  I certainly hope Cher is there with one of the songs.

I am not good at this game either. Sometimes I can sing a song and not even know who it is by. Here though, I would think Madonna would have to be in here somewhere. Or even Cher.

She was really big in the 80s and had possibly one of the cheesiest videos of the 80s era

Define cheesy.  Stevie Nicks had a pretty cheesey video in Stand Back, but I still loved the song.  maybe cheesiest of all, but she pulled it off was Paula Abdul and that cartoon cat.

You are kidding.  Olivia Newton John?  I remember the video and it was cheesy.  But I did not think it sustained for weeks.  Just at the dance club maybe.
