We all know mine, it's straight shots of JD, with a coke, no ice on the side for sippin'.


What's yours?  And I got caught.  My mother in law left so I ran for a JD--she came back with lunch.  I don't think she's buying the mouthwash bit.  So I am going to be lectured over lunch.

I pretty much stay away from the hard stuff- but ever since New Orleans a mint julep now and then is nice.


Sometimes a snifter of cognac.


I do like red wines.


But Heineken is the official JD drink of choice!

I quit drinking all forms of alcohol about 15 years ago. Every once in a while I get a craving for an ice-cold Michelob but jamming a sharp pointed stick in my eye makes the craving go away.

My sister-in-law turned me onto Vodka tonics while on vacation. I still perfer 7&7. I do like Merlot and Pinot Noir and other reds. My beer of choice is Michelob Amber Bock and Young's Double Chocolate. However, I have Coors Light in the fridge.

I personally like me a good Tom Collins, Pink Lemonade, a good garth Brooks ( made in Texas a years back ) a good Jack daniels Hard lemonade

Wine, wine, and more wine.  My favorite is a really good Chardonnay, but that's hard to find.  I also like Martini and Rossi Asti Spumante a lot.  When it comes to hard liquor, I do like my rum.  Lately, I've been sipping on buttershots over ice, but that can be awful sweet.


It's easier to say what type of alcohol I don't like.  I hate beer, and I don't really like hard cider, and I can't stand cheap vodka.

How about non-alchoholic drinks?


I am good about drinking a ton of water a day, but I also am never very far away from my next cup of coffee!

I have varied tastes, but here are thr favorites.


Wine - Pinot Grigio, Shiraz, Reisling, my home made


Beer - Guiness, Sam Adams


Hard Stuff - Single Malt Scotch, Gin Martini, 7 & Coke


But not all at once, that was a much younger day.  Don't miss those days.

I actually go binging.  Before the last couple of weeks, I hadn't touched any of it for about a year.  I will over induldge for a few days, ok, may weeks this time, then I stop cold turkey again.  Won't even order at dinner.  Just stressed I guess.

Ray, obviously, I'm not that big of a vodka fan after having cheap stuff, but I still get vodka martinis or white russians from time to time.  The best vodka I've had to far has got to be Grey Goose, but again, I haven't had a lot of vodkas.  I've also heard that the Van Gogh vodka is really good.
