It seems that us nine planets are not alone. A 10th planet has been found. Aparently, the object was noted in 2003 but since it's orbit is so huge it's taken a couple years to confirm that it indeed is orbiting the sun.
It is about 50 percent larger than Pluto, Brown said, and apparently has the same methane-intensive surface. But it is three times farther away than Pluto -- 9 billion miles from the sun, 97 times the distance between Earth and the sun.
And that distance -- so far out there that it needs 560 of our years to complete an orbit -- renders it unimaginably cold.
