That stinks! This lady won $250,000 in the lottery but they won't give it to her because the ticket is a "misprint".

She had to send the ticket in to claim the prize. Now they have the ticket back. There's no way she can prove she had a winning ticket.

What a racket. Way to go Florida!

Would we expect it from any other state? I thought she had a copy, plus witnesses.


The should sue for distress and contributory negligence. They knew the bad tickets were out there.

True...on the back of all MLB tickets it says, you get hit by a foul ball, they arent responsible...assumption of risk. Always read the fine print...but no one does...I dont

Exactly how much fine print can there be on a lottery ticket? Just enough that says it is at our discretion to pay you or if we screw up too bad?

I think Floridians need to move to Wiconsion and do the following


1) learn how to become a blue state again


2) get rid of Jeb Bush


3) learn to play nice in the Lottery.


4) Learn to be a Blue State again (It's the only way to be.

I've read the backs of scratch offs before (hey, long car ride, losing scratch off ticket, sometimes you'll get bored enough to read anything), and they mostly say how to claim your winnings.  I can't remember reading anything about misprints, or the lottery denying payment for any reason other than fraud.


Why would anyone play the lottery if they can just claim it was a misprint when you win?
