I'm in. I'll go with the sleeping in thing. I may skip the video games. It is supposed to be hott tomorrow. 96 or 99* and that is before the humidity. May not be a good day to be outside. Maybe I'll see about floating around in the neighbor's pool for a while.
I am ready to be finished with this work week. I think it will be a long day.

I could go for the napping. I'm not very good at video games -- actually, I stink. I have to watch Dolly tomorrow and Sunday. I think I will venture to pay an old friend a visit.

I am thinking that when I call and the GA Dept of Revenue puts me into the que, and the message says my wait time is less than 45 minutes, that it is not a good sign.
I have never had such issues with any other governmental agency just waiting to speak with someone. What makes it worse is that I am still trying to clear this outstanding problem from February. It really isn't hard and it is the state's mistake. I don't know how many times I have to call and get them to fix it. I have already sent the paperwork 3 times! The first time they fixed 3 out of 4 things, but still caused another issue.

Good day, all. I'm so happy that the weekend is almost here. I'm down with the sleeping in plan, but I have tons to do so I doubt lazing will actually happen.
On my agenda: Sweep and mop the kitchen floor laundry change the oil in my truck help Guz cut some branches out of one of his trees cut down 4 cedar trees in my back yard go to a wedding reception get more siding/windows/trim for the house hopefully get back to working on the house
Makes me tired just thinking about it! Fortunately, this is WFH Friday and all is quiet so far.
Hope everyone has a great day.

I remember one time the SHE BOSS was trying to clear up a worker's comp issue with the state of Illinois and she stayed on hold for over 2 hours and when someone finally got to her, they somehow (yeah right) were disconnected. Man, she was ticked off!

We are all home today. It's 9:38 and I'm the only one up so far. We have luggage, and piles of dirty clothes spread around the house as we work at unpacking, laundry, and putting stuff away.
We had a good time. The weather was beautiful every day in Colorado. I could get used to the dry air . . . not sure if I could get used to the number of people you run into every where you go though. Denver driving was an experience, for sure.
I gotta mow today. A week's worth of growth is waiting to be chopped down.
Oh yeah... I forgot about probably needing to mow the yard. I need to get going on some of this stuff. Happily, I got an early start today. 6AM call to finish the testing that I was working on yesterday.
DOH... best go check out the chain saw. I need to figure out the fuel mixture so I can use it this weekend.

The first time I contacted GA about this mess it was 3 hours on hold. Did I mention that they only have ONE song in their loop for being on hold? Today wasn't so bad. It was 15-20 minutes. But now I have no idea where the money that was supposed to go to GA went. The lady couldn't find my payments. Plus, she told me (severtal times) that the form we were using wasn't theirs. Um, it is black and white and says GA on it.
Seriously, she couldn't find a trtack of our payments amounts or check numbers. So where's my money? I am hoping the copies of the checks will provide some further information like a trace number or something that will help them find my/their money. What is disturbing is that I said it seems a little odd that she was not able to find any trace of our payments prior to our account number being issued. Her repsonse, "No, it's not." Really? That is not an odd occurance? Then surely you must have my money and use tax returns somewhere.

LOL! Was actually planning on making the wuzband do the actual cutting down of the tree. He is expendable and let's face it... he used to be a lefty but is now a righty because of a chain saw accident. His luck can't keep holding up.

And, by the way... did locate the correct gas and oil mixture. It's 50:1 just like all of my other 2-stroke engine stuff. Yet another reason to want to smack the wuzband... had this conversation last weekend:
Me: So, Guz and I are going to be doing some more tree cutting next weekend. Since you said that it will only take about an hour for you to get the chainsaw serviced, I expect that will be done sometime this week.
Wuzband: (whimpers and whines for several minutes) Fine, I'll get it done. But I don't know what the correct gas to oil mixture is and it doesn't say on the chain saw.
Me: I'd bet that is something that one can find in the owner's manual.
Wuzband: I don't know where the owner's manual is.
Me: Did you look in the box of owner's manuals that is somewhere here in the garage?
Wuzband: Yes, and it isn't in there. I don't know what I've done with it. I don't remember if it came with one.
Me.
Sooooo.... just a bit ago, I went down to the garage. Found the box of owner's manuals sitting next to the air compressor. Moved the owner's manuals for the washer and dryer I got last year, and guess what was next? The owner's manual for the chain saw.
