Hey Sparky,

Is this weekend the main Sturgis weekend? I think it's gotta be this weekend or next. Hwy #2 runs right through our town, and they've been rolling through here like mad.

It's nice, cool and calm here this morning. My office is about a mile from the highway and I can hear one or a whole herd rumble up the road every few minutes.

It's pretty fun even for us. We are about the last gas stop before you hit the sandhills so most every bike stops here, fills up, and takes a break. It's fun to see our own town so active with the bikes. I can't imagine what it's like up there. Yesterday, I saw a Hummer pulling a trailer with two custom choppers on it. That one little package rolling down the highway was worth more than my house! (Actually, just the Hummer alone.)

Sparky, you came real close to being forced to break bread with the WebGuy's family. We were planning on going to Colorado to my wife's cousins this month. They wern't getting their ducks lined up to tell us if it would even work out, so our next plan was to come up your way and into the Black Hills. We were just getting ready to tell them to cancel it for this time and they called and got things in order . . . so we're going to Colorado like originally planned.

Maybe next time.

Web, It officially starts on Monday but it is allready getting wild around here! 500, 000 people crammed into a town of normally 6,000.

It's too bad you guys aren't coming out here, that would have been great! We could have had dinner together under the faces of Mt. Rushmore! The invitation still goes next time!

Trish--good to see you back.


I get to spend the weekend at Disneyland, the happiest place on earth.  Especially when it is 105 degrees with humitidy in the 80's.  Joy.  But promised the kids.  Now I have to explain why California Screamin' isn't running.

They never get tired of Disney.  We bought season passes and go at least once a month during the summer and more often during the cooler weather.  They ride while I sit and people watch.
