I still get appalled at just how expensive fruits and vegetables have been...so I did some research to find what is best available and when...

yea, everyone is blaming the high gas costs......meanwhile I don't want to pay $4.69 a pound for asparagus!

I like asparagus with a little butter and lemon juice. But I will not buy it if it is over $2/lb or if it is all fat stalks.

Know what I like to do fuzzy?


you can take a scewer (is that even close to the right spelling- a wooden shisk-ke-bob stick is that even close to the right spelling) or 2 and stick a bunch of asparagus on there- make like an asparagus raft.....rub some olive oil on these, throw them on the grill for a few minutes each side and Voilla!!! grilled asparugus!

OMG! That is too good. I am going to have to try the skewer idea. I have never has grilled asparagus. Thanks!
