What is your favorite chocolate combination?

Most of us like chocolate. A few of you may claim to love chocolate. As I sat here early this morning, I was offered a Russel Stover piece of candy. I know I shouldn't, but I haven't been too bad lately. First of all, picking anything out of the box can be difficult when there aren't any maps to tell you which pieces are where. Well, I ended up guessing right. I went for the chocolate caramel. That led me to ask the question, which chocolate combination is my favorite? I don't know if I have one exactly. My chocolate cravings come far and few between anyway. But I think my top two are peanutbutter/chocolate and caramel/chocolate? How about you guys?

Hm, depends on my mood. I do tend to prefer a chocolate combination to plain chocolate.

Since finding out about the allergies, my favorite is chocolate and toffee.

If I didn't have to worry about corn syrup:

For a chocolate, as in a box of chocolates, I like the buttercreams.

My favorite "candy bar" would probably have to be Cadbury Eggs. Man, I miss those things. I think I've found a way to make the filling though, if I can find an egg shaped chocolate mold.

I'm also a fan of chocolate and caramel or peanut butter. And it's been hard to resist M&Ms.

I'm picky when it comes to chocolate and nuts. If nuts are involved, I want them to be salty.

This is getting me in a chocolate making mood again. Unfortunately, I don't know how well that will work in summer.

Sorry. Didn't want to work up your desire to make and or bake in the summer months.

I agree that it depends upon my mood. My mood for chocolate doesn't surface too often.

Depends on my mood too. There are times I think I might kill for chocolate, but I'm sure it's just hormonal and I probably actually wouldn't...  wink

Back in the day, I used to work in a little bakery which was best known for it's chocolate fudge espresso brownie -- OMG! as everyone who purchased one would say, "To DIE for!" as their eyes rolled behind their head and they surrendered to the sweet rapture of its decadence.

I think on the predictable end of the spectrum, it would be peanut butter & chocolate.

I love this line.  Can I use it in my book?

I have to describe the ecstasy of chocolate so many times for that book and I'm trying not to be redundant, so I'm always looking for new ways to describe the taste and/or emotional reaction of chocolate.

I've been doing chocolate covered strawberries all summer.  Platter always comes home empty!!

I like the tri-colored chocolate covered coffee beans.

Favorite affordable chocolate is dove dark.

Favorite luxury is Godiva box of assorted.  I never knew I liked cremes until then!!

Favorite candy bar is Almond Joy or Mounds.

I'm about halfway done editing it.  I would like to have it fully edited by October, but I don't know if that will happen.

Come October, I have to start flushing out ideas for the next book to write in November.

Mz, I always thought that was an interesting premise for a book.  I hope the editing goes well.

My absolute favorite is white chocolate. At Thanksgiving I make a white chocolate with macadamia nut fudge, also white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies. Beyond that, I would have to go with chocolate/caramel and chocoate/toffee. Chocolate covered cherries rock too.

We went to a friend's housewarming party this weekend, and someone brought over a tin of Nestle chocolates he got from overseas. (I think it was Quality Street.) They were so good! There was this one that said it was a toffee finger, but really it was more of a caramel-y nougat type thing, that was definitely my favorite.
