I'm working on setting up a radio station. We'd been broadcasting our church services and could have also been broadcasting music other times, but I didn't want to deal with the upload stream. JR told me that this same service now has a deal where you can upload your music and they will play it from there so you don't have to stream up. I'm getting that set up now. We can still live broadcast whenever we want, so I think this will work great for us.
I've got music playing now, but since it's main purpose will be broadcasting church services, I'm only playing Christian stuff. I know it's not the kind of thing most of you here would enjoy. I'm having fun getting it all set up.
I feel like crap. It's either a summer cold or allergies. I haven't been around anyone with a summer cold, and it feels like allergies to me. Perhaps with a dash of sinus infection on the side. I'm having a hard time focusing, because it feels like I have a pillow wrapped around my head. So of course, everyone wants everything from me at once. Some days it feels like the bigger the project, the faster they want it.
I've never called in sick to this job. I've left early, but I've never just not come in. I wish I would've called in this morning.
Good day, all. I've spent my morning going through various project documents, job aids, and Method Of Procedure documents to compile a couple three ring binders full of stuff to help me with the new job responsibilities I have inherited. Essentially, I have 6 months to get myself to expert level on a new routing database (feeds instructions to a routing engine) and a new routing engine (thing that tells the switch where to route your calls). Normally, one is allowed approximately 2-5 years to become expert level... soooooo it is a bit of a challenge for me. Fun, fun!
Anyhoo, I believe I am done abusing the printer for today. I've moved on to reading this stuff and making notes. That is gonna take a while. And let's just say it is NOT an exciting read. On the up side, now that I have all this stuff in an easy to access location I should be at "functional" level already.
Should be getting my interim review today. Jeff best have nice things to say for all the garbage I have been dealing with lately. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I do get a first half of the year bonus sometime next month. That will certainly come in handy with finishing up the house.

Good gravy, I've been swamped today! But it's been like running in place. I have four projects on my desk that I can't put to rest because I'm lacking information to do so. So happy the weekend is on the horizon.
Double up on your vitamin C, Mz, before it turns into a full blown sinus infection.

I slept for nine hours today Don't think I would have if the UPS guy hadn't woken me after 3 hours though. Interrupted sleep usually leads to extra sleep for me.
