Good day, all. Yep... it was THAT kind of Monday. Nothing went wrong, I was just very, very busy. Hoping that isn't an indicator of how the week will go since I'm on-call this week. Got my eye on that hurricane... hoping it keeps itself out to sea.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Ah, Tuesday. Hopefully the work day will pass as quickly as yesterday did. I have to do a little research on a company. I think I can squeeze that in today. Although reading a 10k can be extrememly boring.

Wanna see boring? You ought to check out the snoozer I'm reading... various technical documents describing projects, processes, and procedures for the new routing engine and routing database that I'm now responsible for. I enjoy doing my job... just not reading about it.

Yay! Monday is over, but today is looking just as busy for me... drats! The NEEDY ONE is acting very paranoid today... Just to be evil, I think I'll poke that fire... for paybacks.
Yay! Fuzzy is back! Hope it was a restfull week off!
I haven't seen Doodlebug for over a week because Maranda has been staying with a friend, but she brought her by the office this morning on the way to daycare. My heart is full

Agreed... today will be a long one for me. According to my calendar, I have meetings from 10AM - 1 PM,10:30 AM - 11:30AM, 1:00PM - 2:30PM, 1:30PM - 2PM, Yeah... it's like that. 3 meetings at once.) and 10:00PM tonight - 5:00AM tomorrow. Oh yeah, and I have to skip out around 3:30PM to go pick up my friend Marissa to take her to a job interview somewhere out by the airport. I would have just loaned her my truck for the day but she can't drive... legally blind.
Let me see... now where did I leave that Popeil's Do It Yourself Cloning Kit?

Man, what a morning. I'm attempting to catch up on billing. But I keep getting interrupted by text messages.
My ex-step-uncle (my stepdad's sister's ex husband, father of my Jerry Springer ex-step-cousin) passed away this morning. Apparently he fell about 20 feet and wasn't found until 12 or more hours later. He was in the hospital for a couple days, but finally went this morning.
I found all this out on Facebook, so I got to be the one to let my family know. If it weren't for Facebook, I'd guess we wouldn't have found out until the funeral was over.
Yesterday I bought a cheap blender at Walgreens ($20). I want to start getting back into making smoothies for breakfast or lunch because I don't get nearly enough fruit in my diet (nor vegetables, but a can of V8 every day helps with that).
I was surprised how well it works for a no-name blender. Some OJ, Yogurt, a few ice cubes, frozen banana's strawberries and boom, you got a smoothie that in my opinion tastes better than any malt or shake I've ever had.
It's certainly not a cheap concoction though. I thought the $3.29 for a large McDonalds smoothie was a lot, but I'm not so sure this won't come close. I'll have to see how many I can make with the supplies I bought. I think I spent about $13 and will get maybe 4 or 5 out of it. So it will be a bit of a push probably.
Other than that, I got halfway through DEAD & BREAKFAST last night before work (thanks MZ, got the movie from your Netflix/Facebook post) so I'll finish that one up and then I got "The Back-Up Plan" for later.
90 and humid outside. Good day to sit inside and watch some movies.

How are you liking it so far? It's a bit goofy, but I really enjoyed it. It's campy without playing on cliches too much.
Yeah, so far it's been entertaining. Not very scary, but goofy enough to hold my interest. I did like the scene where he was eating pie and didn't notice the victim behind him.
Portia certainly didn't have a big part. I guess they must have put her name up front after she got a little more popular.
Back when the station was going strong we should have had a "B movie night".
We could have all rented the same movie, started it at the same time and chatted about it together in the forum while we watched. That woulda been fun.

I love campy / cheesy B movies. I usually go on a B-movie marathon when Mr. DS goes out of town.
Anyhow, I found on Amazon 12 disc boxed sets of B horrors, as well as westerns, family, etc. Just thought if y'all didn't know this, you'd be interested... "50 movie pack" will get you to a list of what's available.
