Good morning Ruby! No I AM HOME TODAY! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? Sorry to hear about the rain on a Saturday. We've got partly cloudy here, high of 75 today! How fun that Emily liked those guys on Web's color thread!

Yeah I need to be cleaning, but cannot get motivated. My sister and I are going to the nursing home soon. My mother was not happy. We need to go and spruce up her room with some of her stuff. I could not go yesterday with them, between work and taking the kids to a lock in last night at church, I did not get home until 8:30 last night!


She was pretty depressed, but I have a feeling in a week, when she settles in, she will be ok. Just needs to get used to it. I am happy, I am ready for her to get out of bed and make some friends, not just the nurses. Her wheelchair gets delivered hopefully on Monday. SHe has been in a hospital bed for 3 1/2 months!

I imagine that whole transition is extremely rough. I'll bet with time, she will make new friends like you say, plus with you & your sisters visits, to spruce things up, she'll be fine!

A high of 75?  Now you know why I feeze in wisconsin.  We are cooling down to 90 at night here and I think that is wonderful.  We get 75 during december,  january we stay in the 60's and I freeze then.

I would be wearing a coat--no lie--I would be. I keep my house at 80 degrees during the winter.  I even have heated socks for when I play golf during the cool am's in the winter months, yes we drop down to 35 degrees and I am dumb enough to play in that--cause it warms up to 65.

Yes, oftentimes in the -10 degree Februarys as I trudge in the snow and ice too and from the car- to work, to home, each trip done in total darkness, I begin to think of getting out of here. Every Year. My aunt and uncle are retired, and are fortunate enough to be able to go to Florida for 2 months after Christmas. Good for them!


My hair-stylist, who is graduating from college soon, was taking off last weekend, to go scope out Virginia Beach. She is SOOOOO SICK of winter, and wants to find a nice warm place to live- not tooo hot (has asthma) but warm in the winter too. Sounded to her like Virginia Beach meets these requirements!

   hi ruby and all , was heading out the door at the same time you got here, wanted to hit bank and grocery before it got to hot and the tourists hit the streets . it was flat out miserable yesterday , today not as bad but its still early , lol , humidity is so thick you can't hardly breath,all the leaves on trees get this saggy why am I here look to em . I feel a long cool nap coming on !   will someone wake me up in time for JD's show tomorrow night ?  lol  maybe Star can drive up and honk her horn .
