Straws in the glove compartment?

I had ordered a coke at a McD's today and got half way across town and realized there were no straws in the bag. Does it bother anyone else that I have to keep extras in my glove compartment because of this. Luckily I did...

What a great idea...I have to do that. If the drive-thru is too long, I go inside and ask for it to go. And of course, they presume you'll put all that stuff in your own bag when you come inside, and I always forget.

We keep extra straws and napkins in our glove box.

Sparky, I don't think its right that we have to be sure to carry extras to make up for their incompetence.

My thoughts exactly Maple! I have learned not to put codiments in there though. They don't take to heat very well.

I used to have a ton of sporks and napkins. Here at work, I had about 300 taco bell fire sauces until recently when I tossed them. That always killed me about taco bell. You either get 0 hot sauces or 40 depending on who is working the drive through!

I keep napkins and straws in my compartment between the front seats, but it seems like no matter where I put them, the straws always end up crushed.

You'd be surprised what this cat can do!

Plus they make good pellet shooters, but you have to use the non clumping cat litter for that...

McD's used to be such a treat too as a kid! WAY better than a homemade burger! Homemade burgers "don't taste like McD's"!! BAH!! If I had known then what I know now!

I too have a fine collection of napkins and straws. However baby wipes are the bomb!

We went to McD today. They messed up my order as usual. That drives me crazy! I, too, remember when a Big Mac was a big treat! Yuck! But I still love their fries!

yes to the fries!! a few of us from work go out to lunch sometimes, and when we have trouble deciding some days, someone inevitably says "MC'D fries" and like robots we all automatically obey the craving that suggestion triggers!

I keep a full arsenal in the grocery getter. Napkins, baby wipes, straws, forks, sunscreen, band-aids, antibacterial gel all in my console of my mini-van. OMG, I'm such a mom. And not just any mom. I'm THAT mom. My mom would be so proud if she knew. So why am I so horrified?

well here is a situation where incompetence paid off! I just got back from wendys. I ordered a side salad and a hamburger. $2.10 please drive around.

I get back into work, and I got one of the HUGE BURGERS, my salad, and 3 6-piece chicken nuggets. I thought the bag felt heavier than it should!

This is great. Its JDs poor week. I shared 2 of the chicken nuggets with some people here, and I have a fast food feast to eat in front of me.

That's why it's important to be the annoying person who pulls ahead, stops, and checks the bag. I can't count the number of times I ordered nuggets and was stiffed sauce.

Our McDonalds is famous for being behind on an item and they ask you to pull around front then bring it out when it's done.

My dad won't do that. They ask him to pull around front and he just says "No, I think I'll wait right here." They ask again, and he just won't move until he gets all of his food. It does make them move a little faster for a bit.

I  usually ask for my burger without pickles and for some reason always get extra pickles. I have on occasion pulled forward and thrown the ketchup drenched pickles on the window where they stick nicely. I thought one guy was going to fall out of his chair he was laughing so hard.

Sparky, I think the pickle problem is that there is only one pickle button they can push on the order screen.  So they push it whenever someone mentions pickles and don't care whether they wanted extra or none.

One time at White Castle I set in the drive through for 15 minutes. It was curbed so there was no escape. I set for at least five minutes waiting to place the order. They kept saying just one minute please. Someone finally takes my order. three Whiteys and fries, no drink. I sit another couple of minutes. Someone comes on again asking to take my order I tell them I already gave it. I finally get up to the window and I thought the price was a little higher than I expected. They hand me a drink, four Whiteys and fries. I look in my rear view mirror and see one woman in a car. I'm thinking I got her order. Behind her is a pick up with three guys in it. Before I pull away they are putting three drinks and three bags on the counter. Yep, I got her order and she was about to get the pick up order. I didn't stick around. I just laughed. Poor gal. I wondered how long she had to wait to get her order.
