Good day, all. Yup... it's Monday. I've been busily going around the office having people sign a birthday card for Little Man, so not a giant amount of productivity going on. Ah well... decent start to the week.
Fall is definitely here... this morning it was 37* when I woke up. BRRRR. Supposed to be a high of 67* today, but might be warmer later in the week. I sure hope so. I'm not ready for cold yet.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Afternoon all. I am finally beat the struggle to get in here today. It is Monday. It is raining. Blah. It was 49* when I left for work, it will only be up to 57* today. Yesterday topped out at 65*. I don't like fall.

Its currently 53* here in SE Wisconsin. Definitely fall weather.
Hard to believe its October all ready. Where is the year going?
The Badgers lost and the Packers barely won over the week end. The State of the State's Football is looking mediocre right now.
The Brewers ended their season with a whimper yesterday and fired their manager today. Should be an intersting off season.
Unbelieveably, the Chiefs are the only undefeated team left. Probably because they had a bye week this week.... but still. They play the Colts in Indy next, so I'm sure that will be the end of their streak. They are doing pretty well anyway.

Dylan wrapped up the weather for ya, so I don't have much else to add.
I just dropped of my iPhone at the post office. I bought the new iPhone 4 for $199 last weekend and sold the iPhone 3G (that's two generations old already) for $199 exactly on ebay this weekend. Go figure.
Nice that it holds it's value like that. Though I suppose it's technically a $600 phone originally, AT&T eats $400 of it for locking you into a 2 year contract. I have to remember that when I'm complaining about my monthly wireless bill.
True. I think this will be a decent year for them. I'm looking forward to going to some games this year and not for the purpose of refining my heckling skills.

I was thinking about the Royals the other day Mema. I came across a player guide I got when I took my trip down there to watch them play (something I'd like to do again real soon I think).
I get so angry when I hear Selig say baseball has never been more competitive than it is today. What a bunch of BS. In the eighties and before then ANYONE could win. It just took good management and good scouting.
It's disgusting that so many teams (like the Royals and the Pirates) go into spring training knowing full well they're not going anywhere. It makes it nearly impossible for them to sign a good free agent even if they've got the money to pay them. You wind up with retreads and old guys playing out their final years.
I honestly hope that at some point the whole system collapses. Let em' ALL walk away from the game and bring up the AAA guys with a system that's fair to all teams.
Baseball is still my favorite sport, but it's just sad what's happened to it since the late 80's.
Let me know if you come down for a game. I'll suffer it with you. Win or lose, the Royals are always mathematically elminated from the playoffs by the end of the season opener.
