I was a little apathetic when I woke up this morning. I made the decision to hit the snooze button a few times and skip putting on makeup today. I don't wear makeup every day, although I usually do wear it for work. But being allergy season, it's nice to be able to rub my eyes without worrying if I'm going to smear my mascara.
I was just feeling out of sorts, but now that the Etch has pissed me off, I'm in a bad mood.
I tried to get into the doctor today, but can't until Monday. I have a mole/skin thingey just above my temple in my hair line. I've had it looked at before, but the last month or so, it's really been growing. I just want to make sure it's not something to worry about, and I might have them go ahead and remove it.
I like the Kindle. I read for about an hour on it last night. The real book feel is not an issue to me. Actually, I enjoy not having to fight with holding the pages open. It lays flat and a simple button push moves to the next page. The hardest thing for me to get used to is reading the full page before advancing. I'm so used to reading web pages on a screen and scrolling down and ahead before I get to the end of the current screen. On the Kindle, you have to read to the very last word before advancing to the next page. Not a big deal, just different to get used to. It does look really nice. I'm actually surprised at the print quality. I thought the 6" screen might feel small, but it's not. It's quite comfortable. I like it.
I find I do that on the Kindle too. When I get to the last sentence, I'm hitting the Next Page button before I actually read the sentence. I don't know if it's because I'm used to the delay in loading a page on the computer, or if it's because I'm usually turning the page as I'm reading a book. I didn't realize I did either of those until I started paying attention to it.
Today is Zac Hanson's birthday. (sigh....) Found this cool slideshow featuring long-haired Zac (The best kind of Zac!) to the song "Let You Go." This song is my latest obsession. I think it's such a great pop song, and yet it didn't even make it to an album.
