Morning all. Been here 45 minutes. Had my two frozen waffles, a cup of Island Mango & Peach white tea, some water, answered two questions, read a brief publication on NY agency status, read a few threads in the forum, turned the day page on my desk calendar, send the boss a message, scanned an amended tax return onto the network and prepared it to be mailed.
I'm ready to go home now.

Today the kids get to wear their costumes to school. The classroom parties and 'Ghost Walk' are this afternoon. I think I can make the Ghost Walk for part of my lunch hour. All the classes gather in the gym -- there is a costume contest; games; 'Thriller' dance -- basically the whole school running around getting crazy on sugar

You should fear anything that can bleed for seven days without dying... (as told to Mr. DS on 3-12-10)
Good day, all. Yes, indeed it is Friday at last! I'm very happy about that fact. Even happier that I'm working from home today. The kiddo is here, working on the south wall of the house some more.
It got down into the lower 30's last night, so I had to turn on the heater when I got home. I was hoping to make it into November before turning it on, but I guess this is close enough.
I'm hoping this day continues along its calm path.
Have a great day, everyone.

Mrs Web was happy to see the bathroom done. She still hasn't figured out how "Thank You" followed with a backhanded slap of "It's about damn time" kind of cancels each other out in appreciation/motivation feelings, but she is happy it's done. Her cousin is coming for 5 days at the end of next week, so she's really glad it's done for her visit.
Today I'm on the roof. It's supposed to be nice today and tomorrow with no rain in the forecast all next week, so I'm working on that addition roof over the kitchen. I have a big sheet of rubber roofing to glue down and I thought with the nice weather, it would be good to do that gluing now in the warm temps.
So, right now, I've got the old roofing about 60% stripped off.
The rubber sheet is in a box and it weighs about 120 lbs. I could almost push the box up the ladder, but I'm just not man enough. I called a friend and he came and helped me get the box on the roof so I don't have to worry about that part. It's up there and I can now drag it around and move it as needed by myself.
I feel your pain, Web. Things are moving along slowly with getting the trim up on the south wall of my house. The wuzband is here now so he is up there helping Jeremy. I hope he is helping anyway.

I could only wish. He's all hyped up about going out of town this weekend. I am glad he is helping, but wish he would just go. He's going to hang out with a group of people who are as narrow minded as he is. Good for him.

I'm pretty thrilled about that. Depending on how today goes, I might have to either take the kiddo home or go get him from home. Not sure yet.
In all honesty, I'm looking forward to my weekend. We've been kind of arguing all week long about this group he is now associating himself with. I hope he finds someone who is more like him this weekend.

The roof went better than I expected. I got it all stripped off and cleaned up. I expected the glue to be a contact cement process where you coat both pieces, wait, then carefully stick it down. It wasn't. It was a matter of rolling the glue down, give it 10 min to get tacky, then fold the rubber over and broom it smooth.
I got the main sheet all glued down. They didn't send the vent pipe boot that they were supposed to, so It's not done yet. I hope it doesn't rain before they get that to me.
Overall, it went well today. All I have to do tomorrow is put some screws in the flashing where the two roofs meet, and around the the outside where the rubber folds over the edges.
