Hey Everyone,


I Just wanted to drop a quick hello to all...I'm currently checking in using the incredibly slow & Inaccurate Web browser on my TV at the New York New York, Hotel & casino In Las Vegas...It's Awesome here..we spent all of last light walking the strip, hitting slots at Ballys, Mirage, Mgm Grand & NY,NY. I set a $100 limt formyself last night, & though I am down, Including a coke & hotdog at Nathans, I'm Only down $49...That 100 lasted me 12hrs...i'mstoked for the rest of the trip...Black Jack Tables are next...Well, I don't Know How Often I'll Be able to write...but just wanted to say hi..& wsh me luck...

Actually, it's more like the mafia owned trash company. Silver State is the only trash company allowed to haul in Las Vegas and if they see another trash truck coming through (Such as the BFI guys that stopped on their way through), they will gladly escort you to the city limits (which they did). At least that's how it was a few years ago when I worked in the waste hauling biz.

MO, I love Vegas.  I stay at MGM.  If you have a chance see either O or KA.  Great shows--if and only if you are into musical interpretation.  The stories are told thru dance and music so many people don't like them.


Wish I could join you but I was there last weekend. Lost a lot.  My wife is still trying to figure out how much.

I'm jealous, I have yet to get out there. My brother and his wife went around his birthday so she rented him a Plymouth Prowler for the day - he said it was incredible and although it was a rental, the valets etc treat you like royalty.

Have fun! I'll get out there someday! Someday....

ok...Today has not been so good, I've now lost a total of about $200...Most of the other people I am With Are even Or Over...& I'ts been QUICK losses too...I Put $60 down On a $5 Blckjack Table...Gone in 20 min...My sister put only $20 down on the table next to me...She played for about an hour & ended up About $60-$70....I hope tommorrow brings better luck...or at least longer playing time.


Tonight I am going to Se Penn And Teller at the Rio, & tomorrow we are seeing Ka at the MGM...O is on Vacation until September...so couldn't go to tht. I've had some fun gambling...I've had some good food, though I thinkwe may go to one ofthe strips best formy sisters b-day tomorrow.we'll see what else is in store...

There you go Mo!!! thats one reason I've shunned Vegas!! I would only go to do the things that did not involve gambling!! There are great shows there, plus I hear like top notch breakfasts of steak and eggs for $3 if you know where to go! Please go have fun, and then write us a thread about your vegas experience to share with the forum folks!! What you liked, where you liked, what you would do again, what you woulld avoid if you went again etc!!! Penn and Teller!!! have a great time!!!

OK, Dusting this one off, cuz I never finished off the trip... well, After going to go see Penn & Teller (which was pretty cool) I ran to the Bathroom, My Dad (who was the one who had the rooms & many of the meals comped) sat at one of the slot machines....4 $1 pulls later he was $1200 richer....& he originally didn't want to go to the show that night....he got so hot that night, he ended up UP$2200 on slots & blackjack....

Next day I took it easy after licking my wallets wounds & spent the morning by the pool....Now I'd been going to the tanning booths almost daily to get a good base coat on my pasty white skin that prefers indoor air conditioning to outdoor mosquitos....well that had been a waste of time....I TOTALLY burned my shoulders, upper legs, & tops of of feet (Nearly second degree Bay-Bee!!!) OK So 4 hours in the vegas noonday sun was...um ...NOT smart, even with a tan.....

After slathering aloe lotion on the burned parts, it was time to get ready for dinner, GREAT italian food...then we went to go see Cirque de Soilel KA...From what my dad says, FAR better than O. & i haven't seen a better spectacle in my life....

After the show, we went to the Monte Carlo....this is where I made most of my money back... I did awesome (for me....) at the blackjack Tables.... on my $100 dollars a day budget for gambling....I was down about 230....well I put $60 down on a $5 table...& played with this awesome dealer...really cool guy, & not counting the $60 I put down to start, I walked away with $180 dollars (& about 6 Red Bull & Vodkas in me). I had been up to about $210, but I'd been playing in $60 increments. Once I went above $60 I put it aside & didn't play with it anymore, One I lost down to an increment of $60 That was time to leave the table. So once I broke $180, I wasn't going to leave with less than that, Had I broken $240 I'd not have left with less than that, but I lost that last $30 right in a row...& that was a night
