Hey guys!!  Well we are still out of power.  It is the worst to sleep in the house and take cold showers.  I'll try to get my photos up today, but I'm at work so we'll see.  So places in the Gables have power others don't.  We are anxiously awaiting our power.  It is actually great to be back at work.  I've got my cell charging right here.

Lets all hope New Orleans makes it through ok.


All I can think of is all those wonderful priceless beads for halloween, Mardi Gras,and Southern Decadence that are going to be lost in the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico.

  hi star , glad to be at work ? thats a new one lol. tv said miami /dade co. should be back on line by tomorrow afternoon , a little overtime to stay cool ? ps- sorry you couldnt be with us this weekend , we were thinking of you !

  we are ok here , wind about 20 , heavy rain last night, will pick up some later today to 40mph, biggest problem here will be beach errosion . the hi-way between ft.walton and destin has already washed out . most everything closed here today . -just saw on tv- the superdome is leaking !

Star glad you're back safe and sound. I hope your electricity gets turned on soon. If I remember my sister-in-law was without power for about 4-5 days after Charlie went through. She said she never realized how dependent you are for gas and ice.

I think I would go out of town if we did not have power.  It is so hot here, and I was without air conditioning--melt, melt, melt.  Maybe I should go to Vegas anyway.
