But I did get my halloween decorations taken down and some christmas lights put up this weekend. My bathrooms are cleaned, and the coats and shoes next to the door have been shifted (all the flip flops put away).
The Huskers blew a 17-0 lead to lose to the Sooners 23-20. Oh well, we'll take it out on those Wisconsin Badgers next year. Goodbye Big 12.
The boy's school Christmas program is tonight. I always hated going to that kind of stuff, but when it's your own kid up there, it's more fun.
I've got a bug to get a little more serious about photography. I've always enjoyed it, but I want to better understand the hows and whys. I've been watching YouTube tutorials and reading a few blogs, etc. I found one site where the guy that does it is really fun: froknowsphoto.com . This guy has a HUGE afro and he's pretty goofy, but he seems to know photo.
Good day, all. Yes, it is a deep freeze out there. Presently 19* outside. Inside the office I don't know the temp, but I've been wearing the "no fingertips" gloves and the sweat jacket since I got here today.
From what I was hearing on the radio on the drive in this morning, the weather prognosticators are saying that my area of the world will not have much snow this winter, maybe 7-8 inches total, but it is definitely going to be cold. I'd suppose I like that better than tons of snow. I hear Milwaukee area is getting pounded already... good luck to you guys up there.
It was a good (but expensive) weekend for me. In addition to the new dryer I have a new microwave/convection oven. The old microwave has been slowly dying for years. I'd suppose I can't really complain as the wuzband bought it back in 1985. No, I'm not kidding... I was still in high school when he bought it.
Anyhoo... this is the start of the rough patch for me. Out of the next 2 weeks, I'm scheduled to work 8 nights in addition to my day stuff. That makes me tired already.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh yeah... and the Chiefs won! That was extra nice as I was at the game with the BFF. The place was crazy. For as cold as it was, there were lots of people there too. Note to self: invest in snow pants and warmer boots before the Christmas weekend game.

Indeed the cold has settled in here in WI, but we lucked out on snow Mema. Only wound up with about two inches and they're not calling for anymore until next weekend. Even that they don't expect to be a serious weather event at this point.
If we can make it through December with only a few inches of snow then this will feel like a VERY short winter.
I gotta shower up, get dressed and head up to Sam's Club before they get too busy, so I'm outta here. Everyone have a great day!
