It does seem like it should be later than Tuesday. We're one day closer to Christmas. I did get some DS games ordered for the boy last night. Mrs Web was gonna go out and see what she could find locally for a few gifts today (she had yesterday & today off).
I'm taking Friday off to do a bit of that. It's Brian's birthday on Friday, and he requested lasagna and cheesecake. But I have to drive up to Northern Indiana on Saturday for my sister's birthday (and it doesn't sound like fun weather and driving times up there). So I decided if I took Friday off, I'd be able to get everything done that I won't have time to do over the weekend.
I took today off to hang out with my Mom & Sis'. Today is the fifth year anniversary of my Dads passing, it's become kind of tradition for us to get together and spend some time reminiscing about the better days.
The weather here is low ingle digits yet, but we have bright sunshine and no wind, so it doesn't seem so bad.
I'm off to do a little shopping, I hope everyone has a great day!
Good day, all. I completely agree... yesterday was a monsterously long day. It was at least 12 days all in one. Today will be no shorter for me, in fact I'm working tonight as well.
I wish I could take Friday off, but I have too much stuff going on around here. I'm still hoping to be off next week, but we will have to see how that goes.
It is warmer here today, presently 21*. It is really hard to think of that as "warmer" but given that it was about 9* this time yesterday, I'd suppose that it is a vast improvement.
JR... spending time with your family is a wonderful way to remember your dad. It is nice that you all do that. It seems like Donald (my father) is a frequent subject of conversation in my family, though I'm sure its not quite the same conversations you have with your family. Then again, that is probably a good thing. It has been almost 7 years since Donald passed away... Christmas just isn't the same without him. (laughing to myself... remembering "the ghosts of Christmas past"... one of those now really funny family stories)
Mz... enjoy your extended weekend. Happy Birthday to Brian.
Web... stay warm.

Morning all. Itis cold today. Not as cold as you guys though. We have 20* and wicked wind. The wind chill is in the single digits.
I too will be off Friday. I still have one unplanned day remaining. Use it or lose it. I'm going to finish the last of my shopping and pick up the food items I will need for my Mom's on Christmas.
I have had my cereal and milk, been sipping on some water with lemon and am still trying to decide which flavor of hot tea I would like today.
5 years already? Who would have thought that?

Yeah baby! Bring on the baseball season! (And the warmer weather.)
Every team should be afraid of my Phillies. I expect nothing less than them bringing the World Series Championship trophy back to Philadelphia in 2011.
Let's go Phillies!

Lee wanted to win. That is why he returned. The Yankees don't have the pitching depth the Phillies have. Plus, everyone knows that NY is a different market than any other. And it is too hot in Texas. And I'm not sure that team will win the division again.

See what happens when you win? And you finally convince the ownsership group it is okay to spend money. And we know you have to spend some to make some. Plus, now that Werth isn't around, there is some available money. I wouldn't be surprised if we could get a good deal on a right handed hitting outfielder that wants to come here because they will win.

Well, I can't say Lee took less to go to Philadelphia (it's hard to figure it all out because everyone was offering different years, different options, etc) but it's still nice to see the guy choose a place he says he enjoyed over the top dollar I imagine the Yankees would have paid had he demanded it.
