Other Forums?

Hey-

Of course this is the COOLEST forum to hang out on-- but are there other ones that you visit, are a member of? If so what are they and why do you like them? Do they correspond to a hobby or interest that you have?

I have several but this one has become my home recently.  However I also go to Datalounge which is basically a bi@#h session for a bunch of "queens" about everything under the sun.

I also used to belong to a forum club on Yahoo and we met every weekend at uproar.com to play family fued in our private room.  It was alot of fun. plus most of us had speaker headsets so we talked to each other as well at the same time.

I also am a member of abbasite.com which is a forum devoted to all things Abba. and this is filled with people posting from All over Europe, Austrailia,Belgium, England,Poland, Carribiean, etc.

Currently, this is my only "friends" forum that I do much posting in.

I also monitor a bass players forum to read about different basses, technique, etc.

The control panel software that I use on my servers has it's own forum which I have to keep up with to know what's going on with updates, problems, etc.

When I have time, I will browse through a forum for web hosters.

FFR is the only Internet Radio station that I listen to although there are a few tech/computer podcasts that I subscribe to and listen to when the new ones come out.

This is the only forum I take part in.
Technically I am a member of 365's but I seldom go onto it.

My Podcasts:

There used to be a computer show on "TechTV" called "The Screen Savers". I loved that show but "TechTV" was bought out by "G-4" and they ruined it to where it was finally cancelled.

The main host from that show is "Leo Laporte". He now has a weekly 6hr call-in radio show in California that he podcasts. People call in with all sorts of questions about computer problems, mp3 players, etc. Listening to that show is kind of like going to garage sales. Most if it is the same stuff over and over, but once in a while, you pick up a really great gem. The commercials, local news, etc are cut out of the podcasts so they end up being about 4hrs/weekend.
LeoVille

Leo also gets most of the old cast from "The Screen Savers" together every Sunday for a one hour "chat" called "This Week In Tech". They just sit around and talk about tech news, computer issues, etc.
TWIT

Those are my two most favorite pod casts and the ones that I listen to first.

I'm also subscribed to another call-in computer show. It's not as good as Leo's. I like it because the host is a total geek, but he's really funny to listen to. He has a great sense of humor.

I also subscribe to a web hosting podcast. It's not that great. I listen to it if I have time, but if I get behind, it is the first one to just be deleted without listening.

I recently joined a jeep forum.  It is a good resource for me to find out about stuff for my jeep but they are always talking about stuff I have no idea about.  One thing I like is that you can rate the members.  There are little jeeps under everybodys name saying how they are rated.  I'm pretty high right now, but only one person voted.  I think they all like me because there are only like 3 girls on the site.

I'm also part of a mythology forum that I became a member, and moderator, on before I found FFR. I still check in there a few times a week.

I'm also technically a member of the Centrist Coalition forum, but I couldn't tell you the last time I was on there.

I occasionally drop by quirkyalone.net - but it's not a very active board (well, some areas are more active than others... but in general it's better for advice than day to day chit-chat).

The other forum I hang out on is ghostdropping.com - no big surprise there, considering my Halloween hang-up - the board is surprisingly active all year 'round, but of course it really picks up August through September.
