Didn't there used to be a link somewhere around here to click to purchase songs? I thought it was one of those deals where if you click the link through FFR, the station gets a couple cents. I want to download a song, but if I can do it so the station gets some dough, I'd prefer that.

Mz if the song was recently played, check in the player window- there is an option there to "buy now".

I had asked about downloading a few songs. I was only going to do it if the station received some kind of $. JR said that it is a Live365 thing, they get the $. So I was bummed.

I could've sworn when there was a News page, there was something on there about what to do if you wanted to donate to the station. One of those was to buy your songs from a certain place. But now I can't find that anywhere...

Hey guys,

As it stands right now we do not receive anything. The links do not take you to downloads, they take you to Amazon.com where you can buy the CD and even then we don't get a cut.

I CAN set the system up to take you to itunes, where we could get a cut of the download, or to amazon to buy the disc, or even to our own site where we could sell you the disc.

ORIGINALLY, that last one was the plan, to have them linked to my old business The Disc-Connection and have people buy the CD's directly from us/me.

But it's an incredible amount of work to link every song to a CD, and I was worried about the impact that downloading was having, I was afraid I'd do all that work and no one would be buying CD's anymore.

Now, more than a year later almost EXACTLY THAT has happened. No one wants the whole CD, everyone just wants the song.

So, for now, while we appreciate you're wanting to help us out, we're not equipped to handle it. In the future though, I'll start working on linking the BUY buttons to itunes downloads that we get a small cut of.

What are you doing there? Aren't you supposed to be at work?

Darn, I was hoping to do something for the station while I got my song. Oh well. Time to surf on over to iTunes, unless anyone has a suggestion of somewhere else to purchase songs...
