It's going to be warmer here today. There's even rain in the forecast. I'm hoping it will wash this snow away. It's easier to trick my mind into thinking 'it's not that cold' when the ground is clear.
When I let the dog out for the final time last night, I thought it seemed like it had warmed up, but I didn't look at the temp. This morning it's 40 degrees, I think that is supposed to be our high for the day though. We're getting some sprinkles.
Good day, all. It is a bit warmer here today too. Good thing as the forecast calls for rain today. I'm hoping the temps stay up so it doesn't turn into an ice rink out there. Of course, the rest of the week is supposed to bottom out temperature wise and there is a possibility of more snow on Wednesday.
So far it is pretty quiet around here today. I'm guessing that will change soon enough.
I'm still a little surprised that the Patriots looked so horrible yesterday, but the good news is despite the outcome of that game I believe I won the office football pool this week. There was only one guy who picked the Jets to win, but unfortunately for him he also picked the Falcons to win, so it came down to total points. I got the closest.
Hoping for a good day today. It started off decently with very little traffic on the drive in thanks to the MLK holiday, plus funking out to the CDs Fuzzy sent me a while back.

Our high is supposed to be low 20's with up to six inches of snow today, followed by what they're calling our coldest stretch of the year so far. By mid-week they expect highs to be in the mid single digits.
But YOU GUYS enjoy your warmth, NO REALLY, that's FINE, YOU ENJOY YOUR FRIGGIN' WARMTH!!!!!!

You're the one that lives in friggin' Wisconsin, snow boy!
I think Mother Nature is laughing at and having fun with the tourture of us. After giving us our first days above 32* degrees this year, the weather is going to be ugly today and tomorrow. We will have three weaqther systems hooking up tonigh. It'll start as snow after midnight, turn to ice/sleet/freezing rain during the morning rush hour, do the rain thing for the afternoon and then the temps will be dropping. I, like Mema, am not looking forward to the skating rink. I don't even know how to ice skate.

Watching that game with a crowd of fans had to be great. The Packers are getting stronger each game.
Go Packers!
When Tramone Williams picked off the pass and ran it back for a touchdown as time expired for the first half it was INSANE. I haven't had that much fun since Desmond Howard returned a kickoff for a TD in the Superbowl.
It's amazing how close you feel to strangers when you're drunk and watching your team kick some butt!
If you take away the early gaffs in the first quarter, that was about as flawless a game as Green Bay has played all year. They never even had to punt.
The Falcons had 21 points. 7 points off that 1st qtr fumble (after a very nice through) and the kickoff return for a TD. Without those two things, the Falcons would've scored 7 points. It was good. It easily shoudl have been 28-0 at halftime.

plus, that first fumble recovery most likely took AT LEAST 3 points off the board for us, if not 7 considering the way we were clicking on offense.
That fumble was a bizzare thing. Everyone was screaming and yelling "GO, GO, GOOOOOO!" thinking we were going for the end zone, then all of a sudden the falcons are running the other way with the ball and half the folks in the crowd were still yelling "GO GO GO" unaware of what was happening.
