I know we gave up on this awhile ago but we should so be an editors pick now!!

I was thinking of posting something to Live365 about record numbers or something like that, but the other radio station is down because the owners where in hurricane country and no one has heard from them. So, it's good that we're getting the listeners, but every rose has a thorn, huh? So, I'm not going to rish being insensitive and post anything to the live365 forum right now.

What this does prove is how insensitive the Live365 people are. They have address information, they know where they are from, but apparently they make exceptions for no one.

Should we get donuts or something?

I am sure if we lend Thump a hand he could whip up lunch.

woah I had no idea! We cannot be sure this is the reason for our spike- at least not entirely. We used to have big numbers like this earlier in the year. I like to think of it as some folks are returning to freeze frame, or our listnership is continuing to grow, as it has been steadily doing.

I wish we could get a new member - someone to stir things up a bit!

I agree Mz. In that instance you don't want to pick on them.

But the compeititor I like to moan about is out of CA that begs it's listeners for donations every month. This month they're asking for $750!!!!!!!!!

At one point they were charging for requests. And they're constantly threatening to make cut backs if they don't get donations

I hate the stations that do nothing but ask for donations. I'll admit, I listened to a few of those before I found FFR, but I never donated, because I never had any reason to. Do you know if they're back up? If they're that shameless, I'm happy to be stealing listeners from them! I'm guessing they're also the ones who were picking on us in the live365 forum?

Congrats on the sellout JD and JR...but I've know all along you were a couple of sellouts....(radio wise of course...what did you think I meant?

When Mz first signed up she used that Molly Ringwald photo, so now, even though she changed it I picture her looking like Molly Ringwald. The connection is too strong, I keep confuzing you with her, and it doesn't help you chose the screen name MOLLY!

The station I view as our biggest competitor is LIVING IN THE PAST Radio. Or KLIP radio (another name it goes by).

It's not the BIGGEST station on Live365, but it's more than double our size.

The guy who runs it seems nice enough (his name is Rocky), I just hate seeing the donation thing trotted out so much. I think it's really distasteful.

My REAL problem with them started on their tagboard. During one of their MANY outtages a listener of theirs was on their tagboard but listening to us. She posted the message "Rocky, when are you going to get the station back up, I'm listening to Freeze-Frame Radio right now and I'm sad".

In fairness, any one of you could say the same thing in reverse if we were down, and I would totally understand. But it just kind of bugged me that we were a sloppy second to this person since we A) Have about 3000 more songs to choose from and B) Don't always have our hands out looking for donations.

The other stations above us in the rankings do not have the ANYTHING GOES kind of playlist that we have and that Living In The Past has, so I don't consider them to be as direct of a competition.

Congrats on the numbers. Onward and upward!!! Have you noticed numbers going up as the station has moved more toward the Jack format? My friend that works in the local radio here says the Jack station in town is really messing up everyones numbers. So maybe being the first on the internet with it will bode well.
Again, I say thank you for the forum and requests. And as I've said before I feel like you've given us some ownership in the station and I really appreciate that.

Now if we could just replace that picture of Farve with Manning this place would be heaven!!!
