It's supposed to be beautiful here too. Today's high is supposed to be 42, but it's 43 right now, and the sun's thinking about peeking out. It's supposed to be up to 61 by Thursday.
I have an interior design class that I'm taking right now that's on Mondays, so we don't have anything special planned for tonight. I expect when I get home, we'll curl up on the couch and watch a movie. I left a stack of Nutty Bars, Swiss Rolls, and Fudge Rounds along with a card on the table that I think will surprise Brian when he finds them.
I am in a miserable mood. It was a super long ride into work this morning. There was an accident right about where the traffic starts to clear out after all the merges. Someone was probably being a jackass (as they tend to do along this highway) and messed up big time. While I hope no one was hurt, I hope the person that caused the accident gets what they deserve (and probably had fo a long time coming). I have had it woth my boss. Of course that only took about ten minutes this morning. And to top it all off, I think I am in the beginning stages of bronchitis. My lungs hurt.
I don't want to be here.

No, I need to win a big lottery jackpot so I may quit this job, share some money with family and friends, build a nice dream house and then do something that I would truly enjoy with no salry involved.
Now, who has the antibiotics? Pass them along.

We really haven't noticed any improvement in her skin yet. I think treating a skin infection from the inside with antibiotics will take some time. We found a website that talks about this same situation and it mentioned antibiotics being necessary for 6 weeks.
Granted it's only been a few days, but with her on the puppy food, I've reduced her cortisone to half of what it was and we've seen no side effects yet. She's not vomited, and she doesn't act like she's fighting allergies any worse. I'll probably go a few more days and if she's still doing good, cut the cortisone in half again and see what happens.
Good day, all. Lots going on here this morning. I had to go to a training class first thing. Got through with that then went over to visit with the boss as he is back in the office today. His back is doing somewhat better, but there is talk of having another surgical procedure. He doesn't want to do that so he is getting another opinion before agreeing to anything. Good for him. We talked a bit about the arrangements for his brother in law... I'll be using the cash we collected to make a donation to the local no-kill animal shelter on his behalf. Got a few other this's and that's done for some of the other peeps around here... so I suppose it is time to get down to some real work.
No Valentine's Day plans. I like it that way since I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day. The wuzband is threatening some sort of assault here at the office. I told him that I would truly prefer it if he just left it alone. I think he only does this sort of thing to antagonize me.
Fuzzy... I hope you get feeling better. Bronchitis sucks.
Web... I hope doggie gets better soon.
Mz... enjoy your class and movie night.

Happy Valentines Day FFReaks (I can still call you that right?)
Sounds like a lot of people are having nice weather, we are too, but nothing like the rest of you. Lucky dogs!
Fuzz, get well soon. I'm still battling whatever the hell this cold/allergy is. I seem to be on the mend though. But I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.
We don't really do anything special for Valentine's Day, but I thought since I did a little something, I might get a card, either store bought or hand made, or a rose from the gas station, or a candy bar, or something. I thought maybe we might watch a movie together.
I got a very brief Thank You, and now we're watching a documentary.
I set my expectations too high. I just wanted some reciprocation, a back rub, time together, or something to feel appreciated. Maybe I got the wrong thing, maybe I shouldn't have gotten snack cakes. I know women tend to expect men to just know, but I didn't think I was asking too much here.
I kept coming on yesterday to wish everyone a Happy Lovie Day, but it just never worked out.
My Lovie Day came and went . I had intentions of baking a heart cake sprinkled with conversation hearts for Mr. DS, but that didn't happen because on Sunday, we spent the day "snaking" the drains and pipes under the house because the water was backing up into the tub and shower in both bathrooms; and yesterday was Karate night and it went way over so we didn't get home until 9:30. We said we'll make it up, but we really won't...

I left work at 7:20pm. It was a 50 minute ride home. I laid on the sofa for 5 minutes, put the trash and recycling out, had a piece of toast and was in bed by 8:40.

I was my own Valentine yesterday; I stopped at Kroger's and bought myself a small bunch of pretty Spring-y looking flowers. Just because I'm worth it, dang it!

Happily my day at the office was assault free. Kev did decide to make dinner for me last night. He actually put some effort into it... went to the store and bought steaks, potatoes, roses, candy, and a card. Unfortunately for him, he undercooked his steak... lack of understanding how the grill fork with the temperature gauge works. Despite the smoke that filled the house, nothing was actually on fire (what a relief!), and it really only took me about an hour to clean the oven from the experience. All in all, I'd call it one of the better Valentine's Day experiences I've had to contend with.
