I am so nosy! And I do not mean who earns the pay as my hubby likes to say, but who actually pays the bills? And if you are single, would you be willing to give up paying and turning it over to your spouse.
I pay all of the bills. My hubby would be in serious trouble if I dropped suddenly. He does not have a clue about the bills. He obviously trusts me and no one is calling searching for us, so all is good!
My wife pays the bills as well, I used to do it but she just kind of took over a few years ago. It didn't bother me because I have so much paper work in a day it's kind of nice not to come home to it too.

Gee Maple that sounds to much like "how a marriage should work." That makes a lot of sense to do. I bet you have a real grasp of your finanances. With us it's "Hey can we get that washer and dryer we need?" Well let's look and see. Oh yeah we had to put brakes on the car and pay for a semester of college....maybe next month.....
I am but one. Therefore, I pay the bills. I guess I could give it up, but being an accountant it seems to just be a part of me. Maybe I won't be able to let it go.

I pay all of the bills. I'm in the same boat with you, Ruby. If something happens to me, my hubby would have no idea how much money we have or what our bills are. I have tried to get him to learn how to use Microsoft Money and to have him pay them with me, but he won't. I guess ignorance is bliss.
