Light transmitting concrete


I thought this was kind of cool . . .

A wall made of LitraCon has the strength of traditional concrete but thanks to an embedded array of optical glass fibers, view of the outside world, such as the silhouette of trees, houses and passersby, are transmitted inside the building.

Yeah . . . I suppose at night it would work just the oposite direction.

Cool Web.
But I have to agree on it being a bad idea for homes.
Could really lighten up a commercial building that did not want or could not have regular windows.
