Watched my man Bill O' tonight ,1 of his guest was Col. Hunt , a VERY well informed man .

 He said that a lot of the looters actually were gang members who came in from other cities ,

 they came shortly before and after the storm , they had SUVs , boats and automatic weapons

 and better communications than the police . They robbed ALL the banks and jewelrystores and

had shoot outs with other gangs for the best loot. There were at best estimates 3000 of them

going up against a few hundred law enf. officers . Col. Hunt was told that at night it worse

than Bagdad . He also said more than 800  New Orleans city police either quit or couldn't get

to work . the majority quit with quite a few turning into looters , some were even caught but

let go , with the help of a payoff. ( I think we've all heard about N.O.s police problems in the 

 past )  .   UNREAL or What?       fyi- for those not familiar with Col . Hunt , how should I

 phrase this ?  When he speaks I listen ,..and I don't interupt .
