Good day, all. I decided to make it a WFH day today. We had some nasty weather move through last night. I didn't feel like fighting the icy roads, and honestly... it is going to be another long day of waiting on the routing database to do it's thing. The waiting will be so much less annoying at home.
Have a wonderful Friday, all!

Nasty winter storm moving through the Eastern end of our state. We don't have much here yet, but it's snowing now. Last night, a friend posted pics from a 52 car pileup on the interstate about 20 miles West of Lincoln. It looked like a huge mess of chaos.
The doggie has a vet appointment at 10:30. She's looking better. I think the antibiotics are finally starting to win the battle.
The outfit I'm wearing today looks fine if I'm standing up straight, and therefore looked fine when I looked in the mirror this morning. But as I'm actually moving around in it, I've found that the sweater tends to ride up, the pants sag, and the bra doesn't want to stay in place either. It will be a day of constant clothing adjustment.
Good morning Didn't sleep well last night. Kid drama on the home front. We have been trying to hold out on "evicting" Jacob until after he graduates, but he's not going to make it. I have very mixed mom emotions, partly because I don't know how this could affect his life path, and also because he is the child I most identify with...
On a more pleasant note, a couple nights I introduced Isaac to the game "Pick up Sticks" and he thinks it's the best game ever!
Smiles everyone! Smiles!

Isn't that fun? We've had some of those moments too. The kids have their game consoles, portable game systems, DVD players, motorized stuff that need batteries, and yet a simple game of "Pick up Sticks" or "Jenga" is suddenly the coolest game ever.

I forgot about Jenga. I need to dig that one out too. Another one we play a lot of is Mancala.

I hate those days.

Morning all. It is not turning out to be a very good day. We have had rain since last night and 50mph winds are due here around 2-3pm. My 10 week old nephew is headed to the hospital for three days. One of our older coworkers that has been in the hospital for a week and a half apparently had a stroke last night. Not many details are known right now. This is one of those days to stay in bed curled up in a ball and ignore the world.
