It was a chilly walk in this morning, only 33° and windy. But it's sunny, and is supposed to get to 56°. No walking tomorrow though, it's supposed to rain and we have a flood watch out.
Morning all. This week has seemed so long. It was hard getting out of bed yesterday and even harder today. I would like a nap. Oh well, since I am at work I guess I ought to do that. Month end is here again. Time to turn on the tunes, turn them up and crunch some numbers.

I don't know that I have ever had to resort to picturing the audience in their underwear. Although, picturing me standing around in my underwear would probably be more funny. After all, I see that on a regular basis and it isn't pretty. I don't know why, but speaking to a group of people never really bothered me. Sure, maybe right before I get a little nervous, but after I start that all fades.

I just read that RIM (Research In Motion - AKA Blackberry) is planning to open up the "Blackberry Messenger" (BBM) service to Android and iOS. BBM is a direct phone-to-phone messaging service kind of like texting, except it doesn't use the text system through the cell provider. It has more features than texting, and it doesn't need a texting plan to work. Currently BBM is only available on Blackberry phones.
Some are saying that this will kill RIM because there are many people holding on to their Blackberry phones only because of the BBM service. Making it available other places will let those people switch. Others are saying that this will be a good move for RIM because it will be very popular and keep the Blackberry name in front of people.
I dunno, but I do think eventually smartphone users will move away from the limits of texting and start to congregate in one messaging service like BBM. We'll just have to wait and see.

The speaking in front of a group part isn't the issue so much. The thing that really makes me nervous is that 2 of my competitors will be speaking before me.
Web - that is interesting. I can see where people say that it will hurt RIM. BBM is only useful if you have a BB. Most people are getting away from the BB because all the newer phones can do what BB originally did. I didn't use BBM much since not too many of my friends had a BB. If it'll be a free app, I know quite a few people that'll probably use it. It'll keep the texting limits down.

Good day, all. My morning thus far has been as follows, "Hey Michele... hurry up and do those 5 things that need to be done before Monday, K?" "Oh wait... don't do this one cuz..., but do the rest." "Stop, do them all." "Hold up, don't do any of it." "Why didn't you do that one? I meant do that one but not the other four." "Ummm... don't do that one either cuz bad things will happen." Think I'm gonna wait a while before attempting to do any other work that I will ultimately have to redo or undo.
Good luck, Mz. I'm not a fan of speaking in front of groups. Never tried to sort out why it bothers me so, I simply attempt to avoid it whenever possible. I refuse to attempt to picture my audience in their underwear, cuz mostly "Well EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW."
Fuzzy... perhaps you can sneak in a nap later.
Web... HI!
Here's to us all having a pleasant rest of the day.

I could nap. I was up until 12:45 last night waiting for an Ebay auction to end. It was worth it though, I got a $300 PSM200 Transmixer for $200. Yay me!
Turns out I left anyway. I'm at home now. Did log back into work, but waiting on my boy to show up here. I'm not really sure why he wants to pick up the trampoline that has been in my garage since before Christmas TODAY, but he does. I don't mind... gives me a chance to love him up a little.

Probably because the nice weather is coming again soon.
Yeah, true... but I could think of a bunch of better things to do with my time on the first day home. Not arguing though... it gets the trampoline box out of my garage so I can quit hearing about it from the wuzband AND it gets me the chance to see the boy today.

Double goodness! Maybe the boy is just using it as an excuse. "You know, as long as I'm here..."
I'm just so freakin' happy that I got to see him TODAY. Wasn't thinking he would be home til Saturday. It was a complete bonus to get to hug my kiddo. I'm so glad he is here for a while. Wish it was for good... expecially since he told me that the "Day of Rage" uprisings have started in Iraq in the last few days.
