Lots of record highs were set at area cities across Nebraska yesterday. It was 102 in Lincoln. Mid 90's here yesterday.

Today it's 58 now with a high of 68 expected. What difference a day can make!

I like 78. That will be good. But I don't want it much cooler than that. The 80's and 90's haven't been bad lately, though, because it hasn't been as humid.

It's supposed to be 96 here today with beautiful sunshine. But we are preparing for the weekend as Hurricane Rita makes its way across the state of Texas into OKlahoma.

90's here today, which is fine, I haven't found my fall shoes that I want to buy yet. I'm still wearing my sandals and probably will until my toes start to freeze.

Same here Trish! My last pair of flip flops broke, and I've been living in my flip flops this summer. So I have looked everywhere for new flip flops, but no one is selling them anymore. So I found an eBay store that sells nothing but sandals and bought 6 pairs! My husband said, "But how long are you going to be able to wear those?" My response was until it snows! Of course, I also wear sunglasses in the rain. I think I'm living in the wrong state...
