I went to the George Clinton/Funkadelic concert in mid February.

I am going to the Tower of Power/AWB concert in less than two weeks.
I am going to the Neil Young concert in early May.
I am going to the Levon Helm concert in early June.
I am going to the Steely Dan concert in early September.

No, I didn't buy all these tickets. Who could afford them? All of these shows were/are at small theaters so the ticket prices aren't bad and every seat is a good one. I've never been to so many concerts.

Nice Fuzzy!  I went to PFunk too.  Overly crowded, and people were smoking pot.  (Yuck.)

I've been to a lot lately.  Just saw KIX on Saturday, and Stryper the week before.  Two of my all-time favorite bands!  Been shooting a lot at shows, too.  That's really fun!

Actually, if anyone would like to check out my Stryper pics, or whatever band I've done lately--- they're all up on my husband's website. I agree about the pot. I think it makes it a little worse when they are doing it on stage too. Thankfully, it was a small theater and was not too crowded. There was space available.

Thought of you guys on Tuesday. Went to the city to see my goddess, Matraca Berg. Unfortunately, she was only in an opening slot, and played a short set. (Still worth the trip, though.) The headliner was Marc Cohn, and he did "Silver Thunderbird." Who was it on here who loved to request that song? Was it Web?

It wasn't me, but I like Marc Cohn.

Saturday I will be attending the Further concert. Not my cup of tea, but I bought the tickets for a friend for his birthday. I am regretting it. It is an outdoor theater and it will be 99 or 100 on Saturday.

I went to a NKOTBSB (New Kids On The Block/Backstreet Boys) concert on June 16th. My friend came from Ohio and it was awesome! I can't remember who had the first opening but she sucked. She was in a leotard and was comparing herself to Janet Jackson, Britney, Madonna. Couldn't wait for her to go away! Jordin Sparks was next and she sounds exactly the same live which is always impressive. She looked awesome too.

The guys of course rocked the house! I'm so glad I went! Such a good time. I really love their single together too. My friend was converted to New Kids fan after seeing them live. smile

Joey grew up fine too lol

I think that's her. Not that I want to remember her.

They were playing all the guys recent solo videos on the big screen before she came on and we were just "Can we go back to that please?"

I never came back to add that I was taken for dinner and a Maceo Parker concert for my birthday in mid May. More funk! I had a good time. You couldn't get better seats, front row center. He didn't even try to do that, it just happened.

And for the record, I did not enjoy Neil Young. It wasn't my doing as someone didn't ask before he bought the tickets. I'm not really a fan and it was just him. That made it worse. Plus I was already in a bad mood.

 I've heard that a lot of fans have been disappointed with his recent concerts because he focuses on the new stuff instead of his old hits.  I'm not really a big Neil Young fan, but I kind of respect him for that.

I enjoyed Steely Dan this past Saturday Night. I think the only ticket I have remaining for the year are for The Machine in late November. That is a Pink Flyod cover band.
