TGIFF! My phone has already been ringing off the hook this morning, mostly with bad news. I have a customer who placed his order a week too late yet still needs his stuff by next Wednesday. It's been a pain trying to make it happen.
Yay! It is finally 4/15. I thought it'd never get here. Then I thought it'd get here too soon. Now I just want it to go away. I have one more day of craziness but at least it is really just paperwork related. There is no number crunching involved which is a good thing. I'm tired of crunching numbers. I've already said to the CFO, "Now, be a good boss and get those returns signed. I need them today." It is a good thing I did. He was distracted yesterday when I dropped them off and told him to sign them and he didn't know I needed them today. He has a meeting and shortly after that he has to leave. Get crackin'! Good thing there aren't too many.
Tax Day snow? Yucky.

Tomorrow night, I'm going to see Red Green (got the tickets during the last PBS fund drive), then go celebrate a friend's birthday. It's kind of surreal, she's a good friend, but a relatively new friend. We both like to go out and see local bands and go to local events and that sort of thing, but we don't always have someone to go out with. So we're something like party buddies.
Good day, all. YAY for Friday! This week has been forever long. I'm so, so glad it is almost over. The weather here is kinda sucky today, but no snow. Just cooler ... presently 46*... and raining. Supposed to get down into the 30's tonight, but warmer over the weekend. I heard it snowed pretty bad in western KS... I-70 was closed for a bit because of it.
I don't have anything fun planned for the weekend. Might try to work some more on the yard or something. That will depend on how I feel. The shots I got on Wednesday didn't make me sick exactly... was feeling a little light headed and had a very slight headache by time I left work... so I thought I was doing pretty good. Yesterday, however, it felt like my lymph nodes were going to explode out of my armpits. That sucked so bad that when I got home I rendered myself unconscious with a combo of pain meds and adult beverages. Happily today it no longer feels like my armpits are going to explode... now it just feels like I was punched in both armpits by Mike Tyson. Believe it or not, it is much more tollerable than yesterday. I have the oral vaccine for Typhoid that I need to take, but figured I'd get over the shots first. I've been assured that those meds won't bother me... its the Malaria meds that might actually make me hallucinate and have weird dreams.
Anyhoo... Friday on everybody! Tax time is almost over... PARTY TIME!

I just got a tweet from the Lincoln TV station weather gal that so far, the most snow reported is 16" and that is only about 2 hours from here. It's melting fast and it's all just about gone here now. I'm really glad we missed it.
