I'm actually reliving a favorite college era meal for myself-

'cept now its kendal jackson and not mad dog 20-20 for the drink. and its not the .29 cent mac-n-cheese, its the deluxe $1.29 stuff!! life is good!!

Nothing here. While all you lazy bums - as Mz put it - were home having dinner, I was still at work. I left around 7:30pm. Do you know how hard it is to grill in the dark? Good thing I just threw sausage on the grill. That isn't too hard to keep track of in the dark. I recently had a small bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I need to drink but I am not in the mood. I think I will save it all for the weekend.

I hear you on grilling in the dark fuzzy. I did burgers last night, it was cold and damp, starting to get dark. summer is DEAD!!

I've had them long days too where I would have totally thought a couple three beers would be all I'd need to unwind, but was too tired to lift the bottle to my lips! thats when I know its bed time.

your icecream sounds good tho!

Yeah, I am in that not sleeping too well phase. I was beat yesterday yet when it was bedtime I couldn't sleep. You know the one. Then when you finally get comfy it is time to get up. I hate this cycle.

I see large quantities of alcohol in my future. I say that, but I don't believe I will do it.

I'm wishing I had some mint chocolate chip ice cream.

My husband commented earlier that I had been drinking a lot more than usual lately. But it so helps me unwind. I've had a hard past couple weeks at work, I need to do something to keep me cheery and let me sleep.

I sauted some chicken in broth and marsala with some garlic salt and poultry seasoning, and that turned out really good. Made some rice to go with it, and some peas, and it all turned out really well. I'm proud of myself.

JD, you could so totally make it yourself. The rice was from a box, the peas were from a can. For the chicken, put it in a pan with enough broth to go about 3/4 way up the chicken, and then just enough marsala to almost cover. Then, sprinkle on some poultry seasoning and garlic salt. Flip halfway through cooking and season the other side, then cook until all the broth boils off. Not hard at all.

I've been doing that a lot too Fuzzy, hence why the alcohol.

Just thinking-of-you flowers, she deserves them. And it'll be a nice surprise, because she's not expecting them.

We all deserve to unwind. I just have to be in the mood to drink. But right now, I am just too tired to care. It has been a long week and they tell me it is only Tuesday.

I got the music list for Sunday about 6:00 tonight. We finished up supper and I told my wife I was going to the church to make copies to start practicing. She said "you have a church meeting tonight". I was like "I do?".

I did. I was 10 minutes late and was there until 10:30. But, I got my music copied and am back home now.

Supper here was left over meatloaf. Not too bad. This is the second time we've used this recipie and this is the best meatloaf I've ever had.
