It is whatever day it is. The clouds are here. Rain is due here tomorrow. I could use a nap. It was another lousy traffic day. I've been here for 45 minutes and he emails from the boss have been answered or info supplied, personal emails have been read, cereal has been eaten and the workers comp 1st quarter report has been filed. Not too bad since the boss seemed to be a little demanding this morning for stuff. I need to call our office in KS to see about the personal property in NE. I also need to finish up my run at correcting job file issues in MN. Yes, I lead oh such an exciting life.

Good day, all. I worked last night so I'm pretty tired. What should have been an easy 15 minute thing got turned into 1.5 hours of sheer torture. On the up side, it did lead me to invent several new words:
Moman-tus: A descriptive meaning "what should be a simple, easy, quick thing that ends up taking 5X longer than it should because of ineptitude and disorganization." Used in a sentence: That migration last night was moman-tus. (Actually a perjorative derived from dealing with a very irritating PM)
Rich-rolled: The condition of having a simple concept explained in the most round about and least helpful fashion possible. Frequently said explanation bears no relation to what was supposed to be explained. Commonly, about 2 sentences into said Rich-roll is a heavy sigh followed by "Uuuuuuuhhhhhhh... How can I explain this?" Used in a sentence: I got Rich-rolled 5 times during that Moman-tus migration call. I was totally confaussed." (Derived from listening to the call testing guy talk.)
Confaussed: The natually resulting state after being Rich-rolled. It is the combination of being confused, enraged, and somehow certain that your I.Q. has dropped at least 5 points after listening to the aforementioned Rich-rolling. Used in a sentence in the above definition... same derivation.
This day has to improve. Really it does. Perhaps I should throw more caffeine at the situation.
Hope everyone else is having a great day.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
I'm having a panic attack right now -- My school calendar shows graduation to be on May 27th. When we received the announcements (I believe ) they say May 22. I didn't think much of it because I figured that the school calendar I have must have be revised... but, today I was on the school website and is shows May 27th I'm certain (I think), that the announcements show the 22nd and not the 27th. Seriously, I don't need this marble added to my stress basket!
It's Administrative Professionals, I think we should do Margaritas!

Whenever I get down to FL, I'll drink a margarita for everyone. I've been sitting in the airport answering work emails, and of course a particularly stressful problem has decided to pop back up. I've passed it on to my boss, I think it's out of my hands at this point anyway since it involves a customer wanting to return a large order.
Just got done requesting that one of my passwords be reset...for the thrid time. Can't use several systems without that ONE password. The website says it will be reset within 2 days...they do not, however, say WHICH two days.
Forgot my meds today so that oughta be a joy.
And...
I AM SICK TO DEATH OF THE ROYAL WEDDING!!!!!! I'm coming undone about how every dang news story has some tie to the WEDDING OF THE CENTURY. Car crash? They were on the way to watch a televised account of THE ROYAL WEDDING. New hairdos? Is it like Kate's is gonna be in THE ROYAL WEDDING? Monkey swimming in a canal? Must be trying to get to THE ROYAL WEDDING.
Actually, I do remember my high school graduation date. It was June 1st. If it were some other random day in June I probably wouldn't have remembered it. I turned 18 and graduated high school five days later.

I do remember we got the recognition of being the first graduating class to hold graduation outdoors on the football field. It ended up being a nice day ... well except for the 40mph winds.
We are also known as the last graduating class to hold graduation outdoors on the football field.
Every single photo of our graduation is of people trying to hold their hats on, robes down and hair blowing sideways.
I don't know when my graduation was except that it was in 1983. (one old broad)
I do know that my graduating class was so big that we held it in the Boise State University Pavillion which is where all the Bronco basketball games & big concerts are held.
I don't remember the date of my graduation, but I believe it was on a Sunday afternoon in the high school stadium. Seniors let out a week before everyone else, so Ima say (by looking at a May 1984 calendar) it was -- drum roll please -- May 27. There were over 600 in our graduating class. I don't remember the ceremony at all, but I do remember that after the ceremony, my two best friends and I posed for a picture w/o our caps on and some jackars swiped my red tassle from where I set down my cap! Red tassles were for top 10% of graduating class. Oh, and I also remember what I wore -- a white and black dress with a fitted v-neck bodice and a flowy pleated skirt, and white high ankle strap heels.

Taking a tip from DS, and looking at the 1984 calendar, I'm thinking our graduation was May 12th. That seems right. This year it's the 14th so the 12th for us would make sense.
I don't remember the date, but the year was 1999 (yeah I'm a youngin'). We had 550 in our graduating class, and I thought that was big. We had our ceremony at the Joyce ACC to fit everyone. But they had to schedule it at the beginning of the school year and couldn't reschedule it even though we had a ton of snow days, so we had our ceremony before we graduated.
I remember my graduation too. Date was June 8, 1978. It had been raining all morning and we didn't know if we would be graduating in the football stadium or if we'd have to head to our Civic Center and wait until Saginaw High finished their graduation. Luckily 2 hours before commencements were to begin it quit raining and the sun popped out, so we got to use the stadium. I graduated with 552 other kids, I sat in the front row because my last name started with an A, and I was the 13th one to walk across the stage for a diploma.
I don't remember any of the speeches or who gave them, but I DO remember hearing "clink, clink, clink." It was the sound of empty bottles hitting the legs of the folding chairs we were sitting in. Drinking age in MI was 18 at the time and the majority of my class graduated bombed outta their minds! We were the last class that could legally drink in MI at 18; the following January the drinking age went back up to 21.
I also lost 4 friends that night. Someone borrowed their dad's boat, went out into Saginaw Bay with a group of kids, and four of them drowned; one was my cousin, our class Valedictorian. They were fooling around, fell off the boat, and the others were too drunk to help them. And to add even more pain, a week before graduation I lost my best friend along with 9 other classmates to car accidents on their way to/from Senior Prom due to drinking and driving.
