Once again, the Phils come up just a bit short. The Phils did their job but the Cubs couldn't quite come through. Had the Cubs won today, the Phils and Astros would have been tied and it would have forced a playoff game on Monday. Of course the Phils would have promptly lost that game. They went 0-6 vs Houston this year, including three blown games in the 9th inning.

At least the finished in front of the Brewers. Rollins ended his year with a 35 game hitting streak. Howard has a chance to be the rookie of the year. Some good things have come out of the year. There is always next year.
