A week ago today, we attended a track meet with temps in the low 90's. This morning, I had frost on the windshield as it was 30 degrees when I got up. Crazy.
Good morning. I'm here for now and will be as time allows. The situation concerning Jacob has become very difficult. Briefly, beginning on Wednesday, we took him to a psychiatric hospital in Tulsa (the good one), but it took until Friday that we could convince him to admit himself -- he's 18, so in the eyes of the law, he's an adult. I talked with the therapist (not the psychiatrist) yesterday, and he wasn't really able to tell me anything about a diagnosis, only about how he needs therapy in addition to medication, and that the psychiatrist will call me today or if not I should call him. Right now, Mr. DS and I are taking one day at a time. Sometimes I'm a mess, but mostly I'm OK.
On a lighter note, Isaac had a ninja (self-defense) tournament yesterday evening. He didn't place in any of the events, but we were very proud of him for participating in the Basic Kata, which he is still having trouble mastering and he did well. And he was also a contender to place in the sparing, although he didn't place.
Today's weather in the Tulsa metro will be sunny and 70.

Morning all. We have nice temps but we will have on/off rain for the remainder of the week. I actually saw the sun for about two minutes this morning. I heard someone say this morning that wind chill in Milwaukee was -10. That has to be a real smack in the face. Good morning to you JR.

The old "sunny, rainy, sunny" is happening here. I just wish it would pick one & stay. The uppy-downy thing with the barometric pressure messes with my face pain. Slept mosta the weekend away...again...due to pain meds.
Being La-La at work....as in "La La La La La...I don't wanna....La la la la la".
Good day all... finally. It has been a crazy busy day for me. One thing after a-freakin'-nother. Anyhooo...
Had a decent weekend. The older boy and I spent it remodeling my half-bathroom. I'm pleased to report that it is now safe for usage. No more worries about the toilet falling through the floor! As a matter of fact, there is a nice, brand new, toilet, vanity, mirror, and flooring. I'm quite tired today and I really don't wanna... but I gotta.
Happily I have the house to myself tonight. Unhappily, I have to do some work around 10PM. We will see how it all goes.
DS... my thoughts are with you and your family. I know how tough it is to put your baby in the hospital, even when it is really what he needs.
Hope everybody is having a great day.
