Dave,

The request system has nothing to do with how many people are in the forum. Luckily we have A LOT more listeners that never enter the forum.

If all we had was the forum I would dare say this probably wouldn't be worth it. No offense, but broadcasting to 4 people would be a bit boring

In hindsight, "not worth it" may be too harsh.

I wouldn't want to offend anyone.

If we were ONLY broadcasting to the forum members that wouldn't be the worst thing, but trust me, there is a completely different feel when we know we're broadcasting to 120 or more than when we're broadcasting to even 60 or 70. It really is a let down.

I often tell JD I wish we couldn't see the numbers. It might make it more fun to never know how many people we are talking to.

Anyway, hope my earlier statement didn't sound too harsh, it wasn't intended that way.

aw well crud when I crash everything on sundays after a new high, and only 4 come back for the first 20 mins, thats when I hit the beers. BAD JD! BAD!!! but them 4 get the best show I can do (snicker)! be it 4 or 400 or 400,000, you will get unadulterated (snicker....) jazz programming at its finest!

just like GreenBay , no offence taken !  LOL  LOL  , I'm happy you have that many listeners,

and hoping you get more !  thanx for the explanation on how it works .  I'm doing the math

now - lets see ,  had 6 minutes in 3 hrs  divided by 6 time zones  plus $3.50  minus 2

 coupons , times 13 % =      =      =    are you ready for this ?   ==    42   listeners .

  ( hi mz )

WE WISH DAVE!

A good overnight for us is about 36.

It basically runs like this.

6 AM = 50

9 AM = 90

11 AM = 125

5 PM = 90

7 PM = 50

9 PM = 35

Those are paultry overnight numbers. We definately need to get them pumped up.

In fact, right now there's only 25 people tuned in

Some of the bigger stations have 1000 during the day and 200 at night. WE MUST GET THERE!

We have to do some heavy local advertising.

Most of those other stations listeners are within the same state they broadcast from, so I'm sure that's how they got them.

we occasionally have the google ad running in england too during the US evening hours; their morning hours, to try and catch them as the head off to work; to build the overnight hours. That was met with mixed results...I would so love to do a CNTL+F5 on the entire internet, to clear out all the detritus remnants from the windows 95 era!
