WHY I LIE- obviously a stones riff rip off- but that was an influence on her since album 1. Seems a bit more lyrical/ message based than her last release; but it does have a good beat too it.


Stars and Planets- nice rhythm- seems like a b-side from the last album sessions.

I'll float one more out there, it's a bluesier song with a tongue in cheek lyric that i kind of like. It's called "Got My Own Thing"

its ok. reminds me of Shania gettin preachy in that song of hers. Lacks the big pop of "Why Can't I".....more like album tracks than hit singles- not always a bad thing. Good slide guitar work.

That's probably why they said this is a less commercial disc, no obvious hit singles. But I like almost all of it.

It's got a lot of variety on it. Lots of different sounds.
