The final episodes of season five and the series are winding down (I think there are six episodes left).
Has anyone else seen this show? Does anyone else like it?
The first season of this show was probably one of the best for a show on TV that I ever watched. I have enjoyed every season as well.
For those who think it is just about high school football in the state of Texas, it is more than that. It is about small town life and there has always been a nice blend of drama and character development. The central figures are a High School Football coach, his wife and their teen age daughter and their life in Dillon Texas. The football sequences are just a bonus.
I think the show probably also has one of the strongest portrayals of marriage on TV which is also nice to see. Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) and his wife Tami,(Connie Britton) are very supportive of each other.
In case anyone has an interest, you can catch the first 4 seasons on Netflix. I am sure season 5 will be offered at some point as well.
I would be interested if anyone else likes the show or has seen it. If you havent, it might be worth the viewing.
