It's been 10 years or so since cell phones arrived and became truly portable.
It's been about 5 years since flat panel technology (plasma, lcd) turned our televisions and monitors from huge energy sucking boxes into sleek, energy efficiant units.

I just came up w/ a good one last night and it could happen it's just a matter of someone doing it. Nailpolish brushes being arked so that they reach the cuticle better.
I would like to see self driving cars. Program where you want to go sit back and relax. With all the computers and sensors available today I would think that designing something that would keep cars at proper distance and guiding them through out the drive can't be too far off. With all the GPS technology available I would think it's feesible.
Well, I think the reverse microwave HAS to come at some point. In fact, I heard once that they have it, but they think it would not have much demand so they can't mass produce it and that makes it too expensive.
I think (and this could be scary) that we aren't far from creating a computer that can TRULY learn. And when that day comes we'll have the equivelant of a friend in a computer. Where you could actually hold a conversation with your computer, and at some point it may become smarter than you (for me, that point would come relatively early).
Ray, I heard a story on the news a while back about your idea being a reality some day!
They said they could build freeways with magnetic tracks on them, so you would drive onto the freeway and go into nuetral, then the freeway would guide you along at a safe speed and distance until you were ready to get off of it.
I have this idea of creating a whole brand of baby products geared toward fathers. Stuff like diaper bags with manly colors and sports team logos. Same with diapers and wipes. Stuff that would be marketed to the dads. I think this would intice men to take a more active role in helping with the kids when they're very young. I think guys would carry a diaper bag over there shoulder if it has a team name on it.
I've come up with a few ideas over the years, some that have shown up afterwards.
How about a bar stool with retractable legs. Just a round seat with a strap on the side for carrying, the legs would pop out like a car antenna. Portable and easily carried to the crowded bar or function of your choice.
This one I thought of and then it showed up. I was fishing and just messing around with a laser pointer in the water and the fish were trying to bite the light. So I thought of a blinking light fishing luer.
Here is a business idea, How about a door to door liquor store! Instead of getting in your car and driving to the liquor store when your drunk. Just call the number and order right over the phone. Of course the delivery driver would have to check your id at the door.

Then he would call the drunk delivery driver service. They would drive him around to deliver his goods. (But don't get this and the stoned delivery driver service mixed up).
