I know that geeky feeling. This has been a long, long week. And I have to study all weekend to get up to speed for the class I have on Tuesday. Ah well... Rainy here today, but still warm.
Hope you all have a great day.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
I just got the mail and see that I have received a traffic violation in the mail for running a red light in Council Bluffs Iowa.
The photos show a big Salvation Army panel truck with plate number 4944 running the red light.
I have a 1990 Mazda pickup with Nebraska plate number 4-944. In Nebraska, the first number is the county number. So my plate is county #4, plate #944.
I called and they are investigating and will call me back. Apparently then need to have a specialist look at it and verify that the big Salvation Army panel truck is not a 1990 Mazda pickup.
Right there is why I think red light cameras are a waste of money. That's a simple mistake that could have been avoided if an actual human took a look at it at any point.
You can't really make out in the photo what state the plate is on. I can tell by the design of the plate that it is NOT a Nebraska plate though. The system probably just tried NE and got a hit so they considered that close enough.
I did actually purchase my pickup in Council Bluffs, but I don't think it's ever been back there since that day in 1990.
It's really stupid that a human with a hint of common sense don't look at these things before they go out. This is a big, cargo truck, with rear dual wheels . . . it's obviously not a Mazda pickup.
