Late Night Drive played the UW Whitewater campus on Friday Night. The show was laid back and probably the most enjoyable gig we have had in the last few months. The people were into the music and we had the opportunity to play 2 shows because the other band that was supposed to play after us never showed. I was tired but it was a good tired when we were done.
We go back into the studio on October 29th to meet with the sound engineer to discuss the sound we are looking for with our next album project. We begin recording again on November 12th. Look for more pronnounced vocal harmonies, some cachy pop tunes and even a couple rockers on this new CD. We hope to complete the new album and have it ready for release by the spring of 2006. We will also be repackaging the 5 song EP and rerelease that in the spring of 2006.
By the end of the year, we should also have a fully functioning website. There might even be a feature to let people hear new stuff I am writing in rough demo form so they can offer feedback. This will allow us to put out the material people want to hear. Would anyone be interested in that feature?
Just thought I would let everyone know what LND was up to since I had such a warm response from my FFR friends. Thanks for your support for the music and hopefully we will give you something new to listen to real soon.
There was a kite fly this weekend - "One Sky, One World". I didn't go because our closest one was two hours away. I just didn't feel like going and burning up $2.90 gas this time.
I am glad that you guys had a good time. I can't wait until you are famous, that way I can say 'I kind of know that guy'. And maybe I can make a profit off of your profit. I can see it now, I will start with autographed merchandise. I knew all my business degrees would come in handy for something.
