We are a generous country...if there is a disaster somewhere around the globe...The US is probably going to help.
Alot of people think we should take care of business at home and let the world take care of itself...since Americans are hated by alot of other countries anyway.
But this country was founded on Christian principles and that whole turning the other cheek thing keep coming back to haunt us. I think one of the reasons the United States has been so blessed is because we are a generous nation. I think its called Karm or the law of reciprocation.
Corporate greed has caused alot of forrestation problems...no trees equals mud slides during rainy seasons.
Earthquakes are pretty much out of our control...chalk it up to Mother nature having a spasm or God showing us he still has a way of getting our attention. Where ever your belief system allows you to settle in. Although with all the underground nuke testing or other military technology we have no idea is being tested or utilized, who knows?
I am an Oak man myself...people will go to great lenghts to be different or have a status symbol...but you would think, at least in the US that there would be better tree and wildlife management in this country.
I remember watching a documentary on Yosemite and how poor land management had terrible consequences, but that was 100 years ago. What have we learned?
I stand by my opinion that we're pissing Mother Nature off, either literally or figuratively. Society as a whole needs to be more environmentally aware.
