Women rule the world

Well actually, right now they rule Germany!!!

I never thought we would see a woman president in my lifetime. At least when I was younger I thought that. Now, though, I think we just might. Maybe not next election, but it is coming!! Watch out terrorists- PMS is pretty bad and menopause is even worse!

I don't expect I'll see an elected woman president in our own country in my lifetime. I don't have a problem with a woman president, I just don't think I'll ever see one here . . . but I could be wrong. I have been before.

Here is one article.

Come Web- you have at least 40+ years left. Do you really think we can be held back that long?

thanks Rubes.

Ya know, I'm not a big supporter of her platform but if it meant getting a woman in office  -  I would totally vote for Hilary.  I remember in like 1980 when I was pushing for Regan my mom made me feel bad for not helping Geraldine Ferraro.  Since then, I was like she right - we need chicks in the white house!!  Rock on Germany they've always been a little ahead of us.

I dunno, 40 years is 10 elections. Again, I'm not saying I don't want a female president, I just don't think I'll see it. That is a huge hurdle to jump over.

I wouldn't vote for a woman just because she was a woman running, but I would vote for a woman if I truly felt she was the best person for the job. I will NOT be voting for Hillary though and it has nothing to do with her gender.

Can you imagine how tings would be different now if Ferraro had been elected way back when? Could you have seen the Clinton ticket - Mr and Mrs - Pres and VP. I am with Webguy though, I will vote for the best candidate and not just because she is a woman.

I hope the rest of the country does not feel the same way. When a woman does become president, I hope that its based on qualifications, character, and integrity rather than gender and just trying to put a chick in charge of the country.

Oh good lord,

If Hilary made it into office I'd have no choice but to douse myself with kerosene and set myself on fire.

I'm all for a woman president, but Hilary is one ice-cold freaky human. I'm not even sure she qualifies as a woman.

I'm all for a woman president, but I'd have to agree with Web, I don't think we'll see it anytime soon, and I wouldn't vote for her just to have a female elected. Though, I do think we'll have a woman in office before we have anyone of ethnic descent in office. Basically, because there's fanatics out there that would constantly put an ethnic president in danger.

It shouldn't be a problem if a woman was elected president....they can still cook and clean and rub your feet when they get off work!

So we should elect a woman president no matter what her qualifications or character?

I certainly hope it doesn't come to that.

I agree with that Web. But I do not think that a man or a woman could ever get in without someone agreeing with their platform. However, we have to know that whatever they want to do, Congress has to be on the same page.

I don't think that would ever happen Web.

I think Hilary is about as polorizing a figure as there is in politics. The key to winning office is to get the votes of some of the opposing party.

I don't think there's a true republican alive that could vote for Hilary, even female Republicans.

Even in her own party she has her enemies.

They called Bill "Slick Willy", but Hilary has even him beat. The way she dealt with his affair with Monica sent chills down my spine. With every word she ever spoke it was obvious she was thinking political future first, personal respect and honor second.

Even a lot of womens groups really came out hard against her for the message she seemed to be sending to women.

I think she'd get slaughtered in the election. BUT, I think she believes she could win, and I think the Democrats do to. After all, for a while they were on Howard "Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" Dean's bandwagon, and when he wigged out and lost it they decided he'd be the best mad to head their fundraising.

The Dem's really make it to darn easy for us

I say we just get the US to vote for one of us FFR women. That should slove the problem.

I second the motion.

May I be treasury secretary or something cool like that? I am sure that we could fill the cabinet with several women.

We have been there and done that with Maggie Thatcher, it didn't really work but that was more to do with her policies than the fact that she was a woman.

I think you'll see a female president within the next 20-25 years. I don't think Hillary is it. The penguin is right. You either love her or hate her. She would never get enough swing votes to get in. The democrats would have to come out and vote like never before. That could happen but they have too many internal problems. I don't think there is one candidate that the entire party would back.

I was just funning you because of Ruby's PMS remark, I guess you all just know me better than that.

Mz is still a little too young to be president. But I'm sure she'd go for it if you started working on the campaign. And I'm sure she'd appoint all of us in office somewhere! I'll be the intern!
