You better!  I saw a great costume idea at target over the weekend and I've got the jeep to boot!! Daisey Duke - yeh haw!  That means I'll need two dates - Bo and Luke !

I almost got my costume, but since I'm dressing up with my daughter, I thought I would wait. She had wanted to be an oopa loompa for halloween and I was going to be willy wonka, but she has changed her mind. She switched to Cinderella, which meant I was going to be the wicked stepmother. O.k. I can do that. But now she has changed her mind AGAIN and decided to be a cowgirl. I'm waiting to see what she comes up with next before I commit. If she sticks with the cowgirl theme, I'm not dressing up with her. I'm not being the horse. I would like to dress up as Sandy from Grease one year. You know, the skin tight black pants Sandy. That would be awesome.

Actually there was talk of the three wisemen or the three stooges. We seem to still be undecided, probably becasue I refuse to think about it.

My grandmother does that . . . goes to the basement and turns the lights off.

One year when I was in high school, we played pumpkin Robin Hood. We stole from the rich and gave to the poor. We collected pumpkins from all over town. I think we had more than 70. Then we gave them to a poor lady that had none. We didn't smash them, we just set all of them around on her porch and front steps.

WebGuy! I had a friend do that for me last year - he piled what must've been about 30 or so pumpkins into his car and brought them over for my house. I had an enormous rotting pumpkin mess by mid September! Granted it really did make the display beautiful, but hauling 30 or so softening pumpkins to the mulching facility (where I'm not even sure they're allowed) was not fun!

This year the big costume is my daughters, she was going to be Willy Wonka until my Invader Zim DVD series showed up. Now for Halloween she wants to be Gir. For anyone who doesn't know who Invader Zim is, Gir is his psychotic robot sidekick who is missing a few nuts and bolts and has more than one screw loose. She does a great impression of his Gir-isms. I'll have pictures once I'm done - I'm actually making it out of foam and liquid mask latex (which has a horrific odor from the ammonia that keeps it in a liquid state).

I'm coordinating the work Halloween party and my outdoor group's Halloween party, so I'm just recycling my old Beetlejuice costume this year. But next year my brother is going to help me do a full Invader Zim get-up complete with his Arkin destroyer. I am SUCH a geek...
